Just pointing out making custom skins is no walk in the park...and it's not like this forum is run by a business who has a guy who is paid to watch over this place.

Although I have been led to believe you can simply download pre-existing skins...

A while back we were fiddling around with different colour schemes on a test page of sorts. Nothing ever really eventuated from it (as you can see. :P)

We'll see what we can do.

aww hell no. i hate dark and red forum colour schemes... they annoy the crap out of me. i think this one is fine, it's pleasant and easy on the eyes. if you guys do change it, make sure you keep this theme selectable.

One of many reasons I love this forums so much, is because it's so darn aesthetically pleasing on me old eyes.

I must admit, the Animation on that is quite cool.

Quite cool, but I'm sure it would get annoying after a while.

Nah, the colours for this forum are nice. I guess you could make more, but in my opinion they arn't really needed.

Leave it as a nice, white, calm and gentle-on-the-eye scheme :P

All you'd need to do is upload pre-made skins to the forum, you wouldn't need to make it default, as there is the option to change skins the profile..

I need a black, gloomy, skin to match all my other stuff! :lol:

That's why i like it being light, because most of the others are dark, and i want a bit of alternation rather than repeating forums :D

The only problem with a second skin is that some people's signatures would look like crap. I.e. Natrak's one.

I swear when I logged into Evo the other night there was a new skin on the Index page but Off Topic etc were normal....

At one stage Trin and myself were testing console specific colour themes. Like have green and black for xbox, indigo/black for Cube, blue/black for PS2 and orange/dark grey for PC. No one seemed to like them. It's possible we could look into getting those up some time this year.

The blue theme you tested Estapol sucked the big one. It looked ghastly. I'm quite happy with the current layout. Change is bad.

Oh yeah, I know it sucked(I didn't make it btw), but I was just testing. :P

I was thinking of making themed banners for upcoming games. Or very popular games like Halo, GTA, Metroid, etc. What do you think?

Banners with "upcoming" games would be nice too. The big games this year (in Aus) (just to name a few) are:

Devil May Cry 3, Resident Evil 4, Wanda and the Colossus, Metal Gear 3, Gran Turismo 4.
