Description: Exclusive to Target, Myer and K Mart

Strangly the Gameboy Advance Video (currently Pokemon cartoon series at the moment I believe) is exclusive to Coles Myer stores, but in anycase has anyone purchased these or seen them in action?

I wouldnt mind seeing the video playback, dont really want to pay for it though, but would like to see the quality.

I've seen a video played on a gameboy, from a flash advanced 2. It's okay kinda weird seeming it can't do all the colours so guesses at the closest.

I guess that's why they've only got cartoons on the carts then; less colours. ;)

They should get The Simpsons on those carts then. Lotsa yellow! ;) Plus I would pay for Simpsons eps.

Simpsons would be pretty cool  and I guess it's possible.

At the moment I think only the Pokemon series is availble in Australia but I know that there was some licenced stuff like Sponge Bob.

I have seen footage of the playback on the E3 DVD and it looked pretty decent, I suppose it's a decent idea but a bit of a stray away from the games only policy of Nintendo. Some changes in strategy for the future perhaps?

Weren't you the same guys who were condemning the PSP for providing video playback...?

I don't think so. Plus we're talking GBA video here, not NDS. :P

 True, however you'll notice that I never actually said I was interested in purchasing this product but rather was interested in seeing the quality of the playback, and furthermore I did say this:

Indicating that I was merely expressing that it does indeed widen the appeal of the Gameboy but is not exactly what Nintendo usually support, with their traditional games only stance.

I would be just as interested to witness the PSP video playback but that does not mean that I am excited about using that feature as a primary use if I were to purchase a PSP.

Well the video on the GBA looks pretty crappy, whereas the video quality on the PSP is supposed to be flawless. Heck, they're throwing advent children onto it, and wouldn't be doing so if it would look crappy, and tarnish its image.

The only footage I've seen of the PSP video playback was on the E3 DVD (Spiderman 2 movie trailer) and it looked pretty decent, obviously it will be better than anything the GBA video playback can dish out.
