Where can we post images?
You can place images in posts and in your signatures.
The picture in the HTML file I've linked to isn't showing up on the forums, why?
You've probably linked to the page containing the image rather than the image itself. You need to link to the actual picture file.
WRONG: www.pictureworld.com/images/goats/index.html
RIGHT: www.pictureworld.com/images/goats/hello.jpg
Alternatively, you might be trying to link from your Hard Drive and not a website.
WRONG: C:\My Shared Folder\hello.jpg
RIGHT: www.pictureworld.com/images/goats/hello.jpg (you'll need to host this picture on a website yourself)
I don't think you should have locked my thread! I don't think there was anything wrong with it! Unlock it now or I'll post it again dammit!!!
The Moderators here have the ability to edit and/or remove objectionable posts/threads/material. It is also their belief that something of yours did cross the line. Posting locked material again will result in a warning.
I'm thinking of leaving for good/signing up with a new name, and was wondering what I could do to make this transition easier for the Administrators?
That's very considerate of you! After a while the forums can end up with a lot of dead accounts sitting around not doing much. If you decide you've finished with a user name, you can send an email to gregg_evolution@hotmail.com, machiavelli_evolution@hotmail.com or civ000@hotmail.com and ask that they cancel that account. We would be very grateful if you did this, but make sure you will never be using that account again before asking.
How do I become a Moderator?
By proving that you could do the job through good posting, little spam, thoughtful forum ideas etc. We’re always on the lookout for new Moderators and will get the forum to vote for who they think will do the best job.
There are words and pictures under my user name, what do they mean?
That's your forum "status". It changes every time you reach a certain number a posts. And the pictures is are just another way to view your post count.

Newbie/N00b: Someone new to the forums. A playful term that shouldn't be taken too seriously.
SPAM: Posting pointless topics/posts with the aim to simply increase your post count. Spamming is not a good way to adhere yourself to the community.
Help is at hand!
There are several people around the place that volunteer their time to help others and make sure things are running smoothly. If you have a question that isn’t answered here you can contact them via Private Message (PM) or email. The other option is to find someone with a high post count as they will, more than likely, be able to help you out just the same.

DJ-Civic - Evolution's Digital Art Freak, If Mach's busy, call Civic. :lol:
