I'm curious to how you'd actually ship that. Would you just bring it casually into a Post Office? Even at a seperate order of 21 boxes there's still tons of stuff to bring in

Holy... shit! :woot:

That is seriously insane...

But wouldn't you have a hard time letting all that go?

DJ-Civic - October 9, 2004 12:52 PM (GMT)
What a waste! Why would you spend so much just to have multiple versions of the same console. Plus I see no games. :eyebrow:

what the hell would someone do with 88 nes's? damn! and look at that playstation pyramid... far out man... i thought my collection was a little obsesive.

shinydragon - October 9, 2004 03:41 PM (GMT)
not bad for someone who says gaming isnt their speciality!

My guess is that the collection was part of his business, renting out consoles, perhaps repairing them etc. Obviously now those consoles are no longer used so they have become redundant. It would also explain the lack of games and the statement that gaming isn't his speciality.

metallix is simply pointing out the obvious. there's no reason in the world where someone would go into a store and say "i'd like 88 NES's thanks" just to make some pyramids out of them :P it's pretty easy to figure out if you think about it. also i didn't read the ebay page entirely because of the indepth information and the fact i couldn't be bothered reading everything. i found it amusing so i posted without giving much thought

i read in a Games TM mag where this japanese journalist had a friend moving out of his house and the friend asked him if he wanted his gaming collection which consisted of something similar to this, but one of each console ranging from 8bit NES & SMS - Sega Master System) to 32bit (Jaguar) consoles with around 50 games on each. and he was giving them away for free. as much as the journalist would've loved to take them, he declined the offer and so the gaming collection supposably got ditched

Agreed :P

That is one huge set of stuff there, and who would buy it all for $15,000?
It would cost another 15k just to ship it all :P

borgster101 - October 10, 2004 11:42 PM (GMT)
What the........ :nooo: That is just crazy!!

Pauly - October 11, 2004 12:57 AM (GMT)
That's pretty stupid. No games! Imagine someone was selling every working console and every single game ever released for each console (plus enough controllers and all peripherals).

Serpentine - October 11, 2004 03:06 AM (GMT)
My god that is massive.

He is kidding that you can sell Atari 2600's for $80 - $125 US though.

shinydragon - October 11, 2004 01:47 PM (GMT)
you could make a bundle reselling them one by one tho
i bet the person/s who bought them has a shop (or has way too much money)
