Ok, is anyone else getting this gem of a platformer/puzzle game? I read up on the game and I've decided to get it. It sounds like it has old school puzzles and gameplay which is fine by me. :D I never played the original GB version and from what i hear it was top stuff.

The game comes out this Friday, so now I just need to wait for my pay cheque. <_< :crying:

All I have to say Civ is, you'll love it!

If you want a hand a classic nintendo puzzle gaming, then this is it.

Puzzles vary quite alot as you go through the game, which means a definate incline in the degree of difficulty. You get a score at the end of a level based on your time to complete the puzzle, with a target score to hit to recieve a star, whose purpose is still unknown. Alot of replayability in all the levels to try and see how fast you can get through a level.

Animations are quite good. Mario looks just a little different to your conventional Mario and his voices sound like they've been ripped straight from Mario & Luigi (which can only be a good thing).

Great puzzler with great character. If you're interested in classic Ninty puzzle games, this comes recommended.

Hehehe, I love those crazy Japs!

So I managed to pick it up today after a little loan(;)) and so far I'm loving it! Graphics are very cool imo. Nice change to the usual sprites.
Sound is also cool and has charm. :)
Platforming/puzzles are also top stuff. I've only done the first level and managed to get 4 stars I believe.

Manny M, have you finished it yet? I managed to get stars on all the stages in world 1 but nothing happened... :(

MvsDK is a great game, but has nothing on the greatness of Fire Emblem or Mario & Luigi.

Nope, up to World 6 now.

I also got all the starts on World 1 and recieved nothing. Bit of a dissapointment, but it's more of a get ALL stars sorta reward....which is a bitch to do.

i might get this on the weekend, is it like the original donkey kong where you're just jumping up, trying to get to dk, or is there more depth to the gameplay?

You're pretty much right on the money. It has platforming like the old DK game with platforming puzzles that have depth. :)

Yep, i've unlocked a few of those stages. Haven't tried them yet as I'm on the Plus levels. There's more replayability in the game than I originally thought. :thumbsup:

this is kinda off topic, but, is there anyway that i could temporarily fix my l&r buttons to give me a little extra life from my gba?

Ahh so you're up to the plus levels already are you?

I didn't want to mention anything, as it's a minor spoiler (bah to the rest of you!), but the plus levels are definately the most fun...and frustrating.

The Expert levels however.........they're ball tearingly hard!

Don't know, sorry. You could send it to Nintendo to fix it maybe? :unsure:

I can only imagine. I'm about to finish the Plus levels so I probably will go back to get more stars on the normal levels.

i'm never sending my gba to ninty to be fixed again, ever (unless it's broken....) last time, about 3 years ago i sent them my gba to get the plastic in front of the screen replaced (it was severely scratched) it cost me $20 and i had to wait 2 months, and i live in bloody melbourne ~1 hour from their HQ :angry:

When is this game being released in Australia as I am interested in getting it.
