In order to obtain content more frequently on our Front Page, the staff and VIP members feel as though we need to allow regular members the ability to submit news, reviews and articles. Ideally we want content submission to become dominated by you guys rather than us. Posting much more casual, entertaining style news along with the larger stories and announcements is encouraged. :)

Before doing so, please take the time to read our news submission rules.

To submit a story click the "Submit News" Link in the main menu on the front page. You must have at least 10 posts to submit news.

Steps to a News Submission

1) Nice catchy headline. Capitalize all words except a, the, etc.

2) Don't post an entire URL string, instead make some meaningful text.

3) To quote from a story:

4) If you want to put a nice witty comment at the end, put it in italics. Remember to be concise.

5) Refer to your source if you didn't already. Make sure you give props where props is due.

6) Post an image relating to your news story At the very top of your thread. It is to be no bigger than your avatar (100x100).

7) Keep it short. The standard format is 1) intro paragraph, 2) quote, 3) the source, and 4) short comment at the end.

8) Make sure there aren't unwarranted inflammatory remarks in the headline or body (i.e. RETARDED, GAY, etc.) unless overtly stated by the article itself.

9) Check and recheck spelling, grammar, punctuation, format, and sentence structure. Make sure that you write in complete sentences.

10) Spacing: Use "Preview Changes" to make sure it looks neat. Correct the spacing if it isn't. A well-groomed story is a story worth reading.

Strictly adhere to the above rules and your news item will remain on our front page. If not a staff member will be forced to remove your submission.

When Posting a Review the same rules basically apply. A simple structure works best, take /backslash's A few PSP Accessory Reviews submission for a prime example. Using his template is highly recommended when preparing to write a review.
