Do you know how big North Dakota is, stupid?
YO YO MA!
And you wanna be my latex salesman?!
The sea was angry that day, my friend. Like an old man trying to return soup in a deli...

"Newman!"
EDIT: here's another one
"Is it me, or was that the ugliest baby you have ever seen?"
"I couldn't look. It was like a Pekinese."
"Boy, a little too much chlorine in that gene pool."
- Jerry and Elaine, in "The Hamptons"

"He wasn't exactly the master of his domain."
Pretty much the whole "the Contest" episode. I've been buying the DVD sets for a while now, I just bought season 5 two days ago, finished it today. Now they're back up to $75 a season :(

I've noticed on Amazon.co.uk the price has gone down by nearly 50% for the complete boxset (including the coffee book) and can be purchased for $169 delivered. I still consider it too much (even though I don't currently own any seasons), I understand its like $19 per season and goes for 4000 minutes but I feel like I'm a bit tired of the series now and probably won't purchase it until its around $120

Try grabbing a season or two of Curb Your Enthusiasm then; it's slightly more adult, but follows around Larry David in a mockumentary style series. It's not as good as Seinfeld, and it's definatley not as accessable, but for $15 a season locally, it's a pretty damn good deal.

I had a look at some Youtube vids which were apparently the best clips of the show. Didn't impress me :( I find spinoff reality shows (like The Office) very awkward and too serious to be funny. Instead I find myself constantly looking at the complete Seinfeld collection and noticing how sexy it looks. I'd like to watch the extra material, I like commentaries, how can I go wrong? Its the pricetag that restricts me though if you talk to me tomorrow I'll have probably bought it from Amazon.co.uk :P

Jerry: "I still can't believe you're going out on a blind date."
Elaine: "I'm not worried. It sounds like he's really good looking."
Jerry: "You're going by sound? What are we, whales?"
Jerry: Looking at cleavage is like looking at the sun. You don't stare at it. It's too risky. You get a sense of it and then you look away.

Like I said, it seems to be a series of acquired taste; it's really like a dirtier George let loose on the world. It's interesting though, each show is pretty much improvised, Larry David+writers write a general storyline or outline, and then the actors go to work just improvising around it. It really clicks with me v:)v

That is so epic, so it's worth the cash then? Because i'm really, really tempted right now!
Kramer: I think I cooked myself... stick a fork in me jerry... i'm done.

Yes it is worth it, if you've been holding out on the boxsets (like myself) then its a great package. If you already own some of the others, sell them on ebay and buy this. The coffee table book (containing 220 pages) is like the Simpsons episode guide + it contains notes about "Nothing Important" which are little bits of information of 'behind the scenes' sort of thing. Everything feels like its actually worth some money and professionally well-made, no dodgy packaging here. Would've been nice if there was a little latch to lock the DVDs up so they're not so loose but aside from that I can hardly complain
I've just tested out one of the DVDs and confirmed the UK boxset is Region 2 & 4 compatible! So you can buy this baby for $169 delivered if you have the credit card, or a friend like me who will purchase it for a small additional fee for service ;)
I ordered this on Sunday from Amazon.co.uk, got shipped out on Monday, received it on Thursday. Lightning fast delivery considering I only paid $7 for p&h

Yeah my sister and I bought the deluxe box set a couple of months back. Best purchase ever.

Yeah, it doesn't seem to take long before I give in either..
"I'm not going to buy a Ferrari!"
*10 minutes later I'm driving around in a Ferrari*

Since I've got the Coffee Table book now I'll put it to good use by extracting quotes from random episodes:
George: "People think I'm smart, but I'm not smart"
Jerry: "Who thinks you're smart?"
George: "..she calls me up at my office. She says, 'We have to talk' "
Jerry: "Uh, the four worst words in the English language"
George: "That, or 'Whose bra is this?' "
Qubert - May 2, 2008 02:16 PM (GMT)
Jerry-"We're like children. We're not men." George-"No we're not. We're not men."
Elaine-"Ugh, I hate people." Jerry-"Yeah, they're the worst."

Can't believe this hasn't been said yet!:
"These pretzels are making me thirsty."
"These pretzels are making ME THIRSTY!"
"These pretzels............................................................... are making me THIRSTY!!"
/backslash - May 3, 2008 03:50 PM (GMT)
Heh, liked that one
Elaine: "Men can sit through the most pointless, boring movie if there's even the slightest chance that a woman will take her top off."
