Okay, guys, I'm off to eBay. Thanks for stopping by, y'all!
Spag - May 18, 2004 01:04 PM (GMT)
I want BGandE - PM is coming
TrinityJayOne - May 18, 2004 01:23 PM (GMT)
I want Super Monkey Ball 2!! I'll pay you $60 for it, but that includes the postage fee. $55 for the game, $4 for the postage even though it won't be 3/4 that much, and you can spend the extra dollar on 2 chupa-chups (one for on the way to the post office, one for coming way back). I'd also have to ask that you hold the game for me for two weeks starting this Friday the 21st, as I have some things to pay off that are more important than games, such as food, rent and the removal of that 3rd eye on my forehead. But two weeks after this Friday my wallet will be relatively bloaty again and I can buy buy buy!! Before you dismiss my humble request, let me remind you of that time I proof-read your 100-something page novel and added comments (which you didn't even ask for I might add). How's that going by the way?

Bah, it was 11pm craptest... and the way my post was worded was in complete good intentions. I wont go into how poorly worded that rule is though <_<
(yes, it is specific in what it says, but I feel it covers too much ground, you have to protect buyers as well as sellers)

Retails for $**.** dude, and you can pick it up for $**.** at most department stores. May want to revise or keep that title :)

You shouldnt really comment on an item's price in the guy's thread Tribaldemon.
If the price is way off it wont sell. Simple.
Maybe PM him if you're trying to do him a favour. He can then drop the price if he chooses.
I'm sure your heart was in the right place and your quoted prices are right Tribaldemon. But if people start posting lower prices in the '4 SALE' threads of other members its going to get pretty messy. See rule No.07 in the Market Forum guidelines.

1) Edited thusly
2) Incorrect, as I stated in my edit you have to protect the buyer as well as the seller. The only reason I removed it is because Im bound by the rules not to do so. Case in point- an unboxed gradius cart with no instructions went for $55 on ebay earlier this year, the same cart can easily be picked up for $5-$10. Just because an item is overpriced doesnt mean it wont sell, hell thats how most businesses make the absurd amounts of money they do (not saying any of this was intentional buffoon, making examples :P)
3) Ive already said too much on that rule, and what I think of how its worded <_<
And to prevent further rule 7 mess, I would like to say I am interested in both viewtiful joe and SMB2, but obviously SMB 2 is taken (if that falls through I'll PM you with an offer) and I cant afford to buy both atm.

I assume this is the NES Gradius? It's one of the most common games for NES - in the same league as Super Mario Bros/ or Excitebike.
I bought that one from your store for $4.95 and I thought that was a little over-priced. :P
Let alone $55.

*Edited by Crappy cause he was getting carried away.

Suffice it to say I have (or had) no real idea what PDO retails for. I have no objection to that price being mentioned here; in fact I'd be interested to know. If it's against the rules to post it here, PM me. Same goes for any other RRPs. Ripping people off is something I specifically wish NOT to do.
Anyway, as it seems that my stated price for PDO is way too high, I will almost certainly remove it from sale as it is an excellent game and one that I would rather keep than sell for a lower price.
PMs coming regarding expressions of interest.
OldSkOoL - May 19, 2004 12:58 PM (GMT)
I'm interested in Viewtiful Joe.

But I often see items sell for below what they're worth on eBay. It works both ways.
Really??
I'd like to see that. In my experience eBay has been nothing but a giant rip-off centre.
I only use to get games which I have little to no chance of finding in the wild.
Shadow Knight - May 19, 2004 10:25 PM (GMT)
Anyone with half a brain and a GameCube should be interested in Viewtiful Joe. :P
I'd buy some games off you buff, but i'm outta cash and i won't have money til next month. :(

I hate to bring up Rule 7 again, but...
QUOTE (Rule 7)
If you do not intend to buy and have nothing positive to add to the sale, refrain from posting in the thread.
If you ain't interested in buying, don't post. :) I'm sure Buffoon doesn't appreciate seeing that there's new replies only to find that it's general chit chat, not the buying of his games.
fishonthecarpet - May 20, 2004 11:14 AM (GMT)
Ah.
Sorry.
Yes, I know it is annoying. I have a trading thread myself.
Apologies.
NismoR34 - May 20, 2004 02:15 PM (GMT)
Buffoon man, we really need to chat again. ;)
Although, everyone is beating me to the good games... :(
Hence why we need to chat. ;)
Talk to ya soon about some games...
tinklez - May 20, 2004 03:07 PM (GMT)
Trin, craptest... thanks. :)
And because this issue has come up a couple of times already, so for future reference, I'll be doing regular cleanups within this forum and deleting posts without warning if I find that they aren't contributing anything particular regarding the sale. ;)

I am very interested in the Saturn, Buffoon. Unfortunatley I'm a little broke at the moment.
If you haven't got any reasonable offers after this week, and I've worked out I can afford it, I'll get in contact with you Buffoon.
Buffoon - May 28, 2004 11:40 AM (GMT)
Wooooo... they're selling like hotcakes! Silent Hill 3, Dark Chronicle, Prince of Persia and KOTOR have been snapped up in a package deal (the Mallrats deal still stands, though, as those games were sold to a non-forum goer). Get in fast, people! ... please?
Shadow Link - June 1, 2004 11:44 AM (GMT)
Interested in the Saturn. PM me if you want to negotiate, Buffoon.
~DC - June 2, 2004 07:40 AM (GMT)
I'll take The Wind Waker off your hands. PM Buffoon. ;)
Buffoon - June 4, 2004 01:01 PM (GMT)
Zelda's gone!
And I've added some more stuff: Soul Calibur 2 (Xbox), Robotech: Battlecry (Xbox), Flipnic (PS2), Gitaroo Man (PS2) and Music 3000 (PS2).
Buffoon - June 15, 2004 03:11 PM (GMT)
Off to eBay I go... I guess it was inevitable :)
