More numbers mean your PC is more l33t than someone else's. 3D Mark runs a series of graphical performance tests to see how smoking (ex fast, powerful) your PC really is. Don't worry if you're not excited about it, despite myself having a pretty awesome PC, I don't feel the need to post scores

How could you not?
It's the one numerical measurement of you PC e-peen value :P

I'll run my 05 and 06 benchmarks later tonight.

<_<
I desperately need that new GPU I've been planning on.
Wondering whether to wait for the new 9800 series or just go for an 8800GT.
Bleh, I'll work that out when I buy it :P

While E peen is certainly most of the reasone to benchmark I also ue it to see just how much more people are getting out of the hardware I am using. I find that info very useful knowing iif there is anymore tweaking or tinking I may be able to do to get the most out of my PC.

3DMark05 Score

I just got 8509 as a score, but it bombed out I think when it got to the Features part of the test. No errors, but it didn't continue and my screen was kind of messed up. I still had control to reboot though. Does this mean the above score isn't realistic?

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3700+
MOBO: Asus A8N-SLI Premium
RAM: 2x1gb Kingston DDR400
VGA: 256MB XFX Geforce 7900GT

that sounds about possible I'd run the test again anyway.

I use 05

Mine kept failing in the first test. :(

My sisters new $800 PC scored ~4900, with a CPU score of 11,300+
