I think it would be great if we had a signature of the month or week comp.

Q2- Month considering member are not super active and changing signatures weekly

-A- 100 Posts added to total post count (an old site I used did that.
-B- Have someone make and icon they can put in there signature saying:
Signature of the month ~ March~ (2008) (example) and if none will make them, i am sure theres a set around the net that you can use.

We used to have a 'signature of the week' award title thing when this forum used to flourish but now we don't really use them. Signatures aren't as popular as they used to be and mine is the first one I've used recently in the past 2 years

The post count system really is a useless idea. We don't do milestone threads and the forum doesn't have enough members/topics to reach 1000posts. As a community, longterm members would know that postcounts mean nothing anyway and usually promotes spam.

Signature of the month sounds like an alright idea but it's too long to have an award title and I'd most likely to forget to change it (like the Mrdie day in the calendar for however long it was there)

If we had more active members we may consider it but as a small community I see little reason to endorse these ideas, sorry. Thanks for your input :)

I don't think it's a bad idea, but I don't think people really change their signatures enough to warrant it... However, if it was a competition or something then people might be more inclined to change their sig. Maybe we could have an awesome avatar award or something, because awesome avatars are awesome...

As to the adding 100 posts to the count, I think that's a pretty terrible idea, honestly. For one thing, I think the post count should be accurate, and the other thing is the post count doesn't really matter much on this forum.

Maybe the winner could have a little dealy added underneath his avatar (like where the adminerator dealy is under slashy's av) that says "Best Signature [or av, whatever] [month]/[year]" or something...

So yeh, it sounds like an ok idea, I'd say monthly, but also possibly say an avatar award would be a possible alternative...

yeah i see how the post count would cause spam bad idea sorry but i think that if we did it monthly it would be great but first we need more member i agree.

Another option could be that rather than have a signature of the month (where a particular user's signature gets featured for that month or whatever), we could instead have a signature competition.

As in, a theme (for example) is chosen for the month and then the users who are Photoshop savvy can battle it out for the month's title. Only reason I suggest this is because I used to run one at another forum and it worked out reasonably well, so that could be a direction to go in instead.

I'd rather a member of the week/month. Or biggest poster of the week/month.
