Title: Wii Games with less than a 3.0 on IGN - 48

The PS2 doesn't have as many as that and the PS2 has been out for 7-8 years. Shocking.

But then again, Nintendo were the only company who didnt turn 'Data Design' down.

Did you know some of their games have the exact same soundtrack and gameplay? Just different textures and names....and people are actually buying them for their children without even knowing, how much of a rip off is that.?

Once you finish the tutorial on one of them, it actually tells you 'The Game is Now 25% Complete'

Nintendo better start getting first party titles out asap if they don't want to be swamped in shovelware.

I know stuff like Star Wars is coming on it but tbh theres not enough good 3rd party devs.

 Those games are appallingly bad. There's another similar company though who's distributed crap on the PS2 looking like old N64 games with massive popup and riddled with bugs. You can find them in the "3 for $25" bargain bin. There's a lot of stuff that should never be touched and god forbid on anyone who's forced to play it for the sake of a review

Nintendo Australia would be shelling out more first party titles if it weren't for the god awful NTSC>PAL delays. How can anyone get hyped up about anything when it's constantly being delayed? I'm really surprised the Wii isn't region free - however I heard from PALGN that Datel is making a Freeloader for Wii games now so all is not lost. Cheap import ftw! Endless Ocean & Resident Evil 4: Wii edition would be a tidy $31 each! :o

Yeah there's some bad games out there, it's the case of having the biggest selling console, PS2 was indeed the same, however many of these cheap cash ins didnt come out in Amercia, hence less IGN reviews of them.

You'll find, Japan and Europe (and by default Australia) have many of these really bad games as well .. many of these Wii games come from PS2 actually

There was an article recently that games like this arent all bad, basically the contention was, these games are apart of a laisez faire system, i.e. Nintendo doesnt control what goes on the system, which yes means a lot of crap but can also mean a lot of unique stuff that wouldn't otherwise get a fair shake as well.

Agreed with Borgster.

Hopefully it leads to more people researching games before they buy them and thus good games can get more sales and force the crappy developers to die out.

These kinds of crap games have always been around. Last gen saw them more spread out because all 3 consoles were comparable in power/development costs (although the PS2 was the easiest). This gen it's obvious that the Wii is far cheaper to develop for than its two competitors, and therefore grabs a large share of the crap. However, only a fool would dwell on that, because there are plenty of good/great games available to play as we speak. And more are on the way.

PS1 and PS2 had heaps of crap games (esp from Japan and Europe) but we still had GTA and MGS and RE and GT. Expect crap, just don't buy it.
