Title: You know what DS stands for?
Robert - February 18, 2008 09:52 AM (GMT)
It does NOT stand for Developer's System, that was just something Reggie said to throw the idea out there that it's developer-friendly or some crap. PR talk, basically.
Dual Screen? <_<

As far as I was aware it was always Dual Screen.

Yep, most say it's Dual Screen or Double Screen.

My brother referred to it once as Dumb and Stupid. I'm pretty sure it's basically Delightful and Stupendous, but whatever. I don't know if it officially stands for anything, really, but I imagine that if it does, it would be something like Dual Screen...

Dual Screen/Developer System. Oh and if you want it to, it can mean Dominates Sony, but it doesn't really lol.
borgster101 - February 19, 2008 08:07 AM (GMT)
It's the Developers System. Reggie said so :P
Well back then, DS was a code name, it was supposed to release under a new name, but that never happened, Nintendo stuck with the DS name but never provided an official statement on what it stands for ...
Dual Screen would be the most obvious marketable one.

I cannot believe there is a little mystery surrounding this? Surely Nintendo have said what it officially stands for somewhere??
samiboi - February 19, 2008 10:50 AM (GMT)
I always thought it was Dual Screen, like, officially. That makes more sense to me anyway....
