Title: November 15th is a big day for aussie ps3 owners

NoDeath - October 2, 2007 12:47 AM (GMT)
15th November 2007 The Simpsons
15th November 2007 Haze
15th November 2007 Assassins Creed
15th November 2007 Unreal Tournament 3
15th November 2007 Sing Star
15th November 2007 Army Of Two

wow... i'm gonna be very out of pocket on that day! Personally, i'm probably only going to rush out and buy ut3, assassins creed and haze, but the others are certainly worth a look. After a slow start, the coming months shall be grand for the ps3! Yay!

Just think, all 3 of you will be able to play UT3 together.

This highlights one of the PS3's main problems to me - how many of these can't be purchased on other consoles?

ElPresidente - October 2, 2007 03:50 AM (GMT)
Well Haze is PS3 exclusive but as far as the others go I'm not interested.

Assassin's Creed I'll be getting on the 360 for the better crowd AI + achievements.

The Simpsons = Licensed game = High chance of being awful.

Singstar I might give a look in but considering how under used my current Singstar games are I might give it a miss.

Unreal Tournament 3? On a console? Hell naw! That puppy is a PC game for me and that is what I will buy it for. However if you don't have a good PC the success of Warhawk's local servers indicates that going the PS3 route will be a strong alternative.

Army of Two has kind of fallen off my radar but additions = 360 version for me.

To be honest I thought this thread was created to reveal an announcement that MGS4 will be in stores on that day. Wishful thinking I know. :D

QFT

Would you prefer cross platform with 360 or Ps3? If I had to choose, i'd pick the 360. The online service is much more alive and has some great features. The Ps3 audience usually disappoints me with the immaturity, not saying Live is much better, but it is slightly better.

It's a big day regardless of whether you're focusing on the PS3 or all three consoles.

Mass Effect also apparently releases on the 15th...

Edit: I also found out something earlier today. Turns out that if a game is going to release in a particular month but a date still hasn't been decided, most retailers/publishers/developers will list the 15th as the release date until the proper date is announced. Something to do with the logistical side of things, I guess.

My point? That the games currently scheduled for the 15th may not actually release on the 15th. They could come earlier, they could come later. We'll find out soon enough.

PS3 version delayed into 2008

Yikes. So Sony has now lost the timed exclusive? Well that was money well spent. :eyebrow:

While UT is the subject, here's a picture of the Collectors Edition tin case.

Awesome.

Same deal behind the Stranglehold and Blacksite: Area 51 PS3 delay apparently - it looks like the RSX processor and the U3 engine just didn't want to cooperate.

Wow this really is working out for the people who have yet to plunk down the 599 US DOLLARS for a ps3, cause chances are when the really awesome games come there will be some cheap ones available. Good deal.
