Title: Gaming apparel
Description: Does anyone wear any?
/backslash - August 18, 2007 04:13 PM (GMT)

A couple of days ago I was working and served some girl (possibly early 20's) with a hoodie jumper saying "i pwn nOObs". I asked where she got it from and she said she imported it online. Naturally I've read about it on the net before but I rarely see anyone with anything similar in Australia
So now I've been thinking of buying a gaming t-shirt lately and have been looking at a few websites like
ThinkGeek,
Panic and
Penny Arcade. I like the Spinner design on Panic but I'm no Mac user. I like the Insert Coin & Shoryuken t-shirt on Penny Arcade and the I Never Finish Anyth from Thinkgeek. But I wonder how far can geekiness go without being come across as a major geek? I want to be stylish yet geeky at the same time yet I have no idea what other people would think of me if I bought some of these
So does anyone here own any gaming/internet apparel? Do you ever get hassled by people passing by? Suggestions? Comment!

Was this the hoodie?

If it was, then it came from the Pure Pwnage n00bstore. They've got some awesome gear available: I keep meaning to buy some.
The only bit of a gaming apparel I have is an orange Splinter Cell: Double Agent t-shirt, boldly asking me, 'which side are you fighting for?' It came in a crumpled heap with the game, and I wear it to bed occasionally, as wearing it in public would probably lead to someone losing their sight. It's bright. Very bright. :P
It wouldn't bother me wearing game-oriented clothing as long as it was stylish. That's all that matters for me!

Why not try one of the stores at www.vgcats.com or www.nuklearpower.com
Or, if you're looking for a huge selction, just go to Jinx.
Helpful Suggestion: Get the shirt that you want, and try not to worry about what people will think about you.

Yeah who gives a crap what people think, I doubt you're going to be heckled as you walk down the street, most people probably wont even know what it is, but you might get noticed by some 1337 internet person :P
I don’t wear or own any of these sorts of clothes myself though, mainly because I have never seen them anywhere, and cant really be arsed importing a shirt.

Yep thats the one
I'll have a think about it for now, will most likely get the Insert Coin t-shirt :D I wasn't too sure of which colour to choose so I made my own head to place on top of the neck. I think it turned out quite well :P

Jeez, I want them and I don't even have a vagina.
They should make something similar for guys: boxers that say 'Dark Brotherhood' for example? :P

I have a T-Shirt that has the awesome emoticon from Something Awful (

) and the Shoop-Da-Whoop dude on another. Home made, iron on transfers are awesome.
Having the Awesome emoticon gets me recognition from other SA Goons. It's great.

My one experience with thinkgeek consisted of buying $70 worth of goods then getting hit for $60 in shipping.
Not impressed...
I'm without geek clothing, however - the majority of gaming related clothing seems to start at XXL and go up from there :D

Best I've got is the stock standard 1-Up shirt from Jay Jays...
Pity me.

I want some of this gear so bad but the shipping is going to kill me. Why so much? And I can't find any of this sort of stuff on ebay either. :(

Stuntman Ignition "I do all my own stunts" tee. Mostly because it was free, and fits me so incredibly well.
