Title: Member Spotlight #3 - thebigm

thebigm - August 7, 2007 12:13 PM (GMT)
Was told I was next in by someone lazy... i.e. that Nismo person.

Anyway, rules first:

Guidelines:
  • At the commencement of each new spotlight, an individual will be selected from the previous spotlight to be the new person participating in the spotlight.
  • The prospective spotlight member must have posted a question in the previous spotlight thread.
  • The prospective spotlight member cannot have been previously spotlighted.
  • The selection for the new spotlight member is made at the discretion of the person currently spotlighted
  • Unless indicated otherwise, any individual posting a question in a spotlight thread indicates that if selected, they will take up the spotlight.
  • Each post has a limit of five questions. However, there is no limit as to the total amount of questions an individual may ask.
  • You will need a post count no lower than 15 to enter a question. Non-contributing replies will be considered spam and will result in you having to start from scratch.
  • All questions must abide by the Evolution Forum Rules.

And ask away :)

Why did you number this #2 when it's actually #3?

Coke or Pepsi and why?

Favourite console ever?

What's your favourite food?

What are you doing at the moment in your life? (i.e. uni, work etc.)

1. Because I got lazy and didn't type the thread title... copied and pasted with modifications, forgot about the numbering..

2. Coke, just used to drink it.

3. PC (if that doesn't count, GCN)

4. Hmm, tough one.. Chicken Schnitzel I guess..

5. Second Year Bachelor of Science in IT, Diploma in IT Professional Practice at UTS, planning to add the Bachelor of International Studies on top of this as well. Work stuff = looking for one. Relationship = looking too.

1. Can you see yourself attending more podcasts? Did you like it?

2. Best day of your life?

3. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

4. You find $10,000 - what do you spend it on?

5. You are given a time machine and can only travel once with no return and carry only your basic lugggage. What year do you go to and why?

1. Sure can, it's good fun :)

2. Hmm, tough choice... Finding out that I made it into Uni, Year 12 Graduation or Being involved in the Evolution podcast... ;)

3. Here, it's home, my family is here, isn't anything I would really want to change with location.

4. Laptop + New Computer + Consoles + Games..

5. I go to now, use the machine to not move forward at any time, because I don't really want to change things as they are.

What made us 'click' and become the brothers that we are?

Does that question sound suss to you? ;)

Why am I really bored of the internet at the moment and not motivated to do anything on it?

Why does life suck at the moment?

Why haven't we met? :P

Favourite takeaway food? Only one pick too.

1. Long story:

It was pre 2000 basically, my name is Michael, I am / was a fairly big person, and it all fitted together, thus thebigm.

2. They're just like any other bottled milk variety, I'll drink.

3. Chinese.

1. If you could be the real life version of an anime character, who would you be, and why. If by some chance that you're a gamer who doesn't like anime (wtf?????), just pick another famous cartoon character.

2. Other than interface and graphics, why do you choose to game on the PC?

3. What kind of laptop would you purchase with that share of $10,000? All out grunt of a Dell XPS? Or the general smugness of the Apple owning community?

4. Seeing as you're job hunting, what would be the dream job (that relates to your studies... i'm not talking about "nipple tweaker for Kate Hudson" or something equally esoteric)

5. I used this before... but you are granted the ability to go anywhere in the universe without the constraints of reality (ie breathing etc). Where would you go?

3. Mac Book Pro ;)

4. Game Designer, and I'm working (studying) to get to that position.

5. Tricky, but probably the moon.

1. Did I (or did slashy) sound how you expected on the Podcast? In fact does anyone of whom you hear their voice for the first time, sound like how you would have thought?

2. Favourite game / movie?

3. Since you want to get into game development (I think thats right?) what would be your dream game you'd want to create?

4. Are you suprised Nismo passed this on? :P

Do Square want money? (Yes) If you wanted me to put a platform as to which it would be on, I would say that it wouldn't be for the PS3 or 360 simply due to the cost of the project.

Asguarde - August 8, 2007 12:06 PM (GMT)
1. What game that will be out by the beginning of 2008 are you looking forward to the most?

2. What is your favorite television program?

5. What is the best game you have ever played?

IN the spirit of asking further questions, is there any particular developer you'd wish to work for, or are you willing to forge out on your own?

Surprisingly, it's not gaming that is keeping me away from the forums/the internet as a whole. I've actually found myself playing them more to try and occupy myself since half the time I can't be bothered coming online. I dunno why, as I've said before, but yeah I'm just not enjoying the online world too much at the moment. I guess I need to find a new website or three to randomly waste time on that isn't Youtube or something similar.

And for the record no I'm not going to start using Myspace. *shudder*

1. Damn, that's a tough one. Whilst the lightsaber would be ultra cool and I could probably sell it for a lot of money anyway once I get bored of the effect... the fame and all that would be unnecessary, so the 10 million would be nice.

2. Star Wars.

Best PC game of the year 200 - Giants: Citizen Kabuto, Sacrifice or American McGee's Alice?

CHOOSE - Playing all games with a digital control pad for the rest of your life, or having your monitor permanently locked to 800x600?

Is it really worth spending $100+ on a single peripheral? If yes, justify in a manner that makes reference to at least two monty python sketches.

I currently have a purple paper bag on my desk - it is A4 size, lays flat and bulges slightly in the middle. What is inside it?

Apple Ipods - bug ridden or music hardware par excellence'?

Will EVO forums ever suffer the wrath of Nintendo's fabled legal hammer, wakening the sleeping tiger with this blatant stab in the face of intellectual property laws? :luigidance1:

1. Year 200, damn that was a long time ago :P Sadly I've only played a small demo / watched footage of each, but I guess on that limited knowledge I'd go Giants.

2. 800x600 as long as the refresh rate is 85hz +

3. Yes, or should I say ni? But that would involve a Spanish Inquisition, so you'll have to make do with a yes

4. Daringly, a pink paper bag?

6. No.
