Anybody else like this series by Terry Pratchett?

I've been putting off buying the Pratchett cartoons, since I was apprehensive that the images wouldn't match my own personal images of the characters.

I feel the same way.

They are pretty awsome though(the ABC plays them every now and then) granted I haven't read those particular books yet. The comic versons are pretty cool too. There are also plays based on some of them too. One was playing in Brisbane once but no one wanted to go with me :(. Just started reading Winter Smith yesterday good stuff.

I had a real addiction to these a few years back - Pratchett has an odd way of mixing complete nonsense with quantum mechanics, scientific theory, abstract linguistic acrobatics and low brow humour which is really rare.

Sometimes you have a sneaking suspicion that it might just be a kids book, then you come across the theory of narrative causality tucked into a sub-plot and realize just how great he can be when he really sets his mind to what he's writing.
