Title: The Dark Knight
Description: Teaser Trailer AND now Teaser Poster!
borgster101 - July 28, 2007 05:04 AM (GMT)
Teaser TrailerI loved Batman Begins, easily the best Batman film, and the Batman character has been an all time favourite of mine for a long time, Dark Knight looks (sounds) like it's going to be just as awesome as Begins.
Can't wait :woot:
Also with Comic Con currently underway new site has launched
http://www.whysoserious.com/ As well as a new image with the Joker :D

HQ Trailer (72MB 720P)
http://video.whysoserious.com/TDK_Teaser_HD_Best_L98hufT.movWhilst the trailer doesn't reveal much in terms of footage, the teaser is very, how to put it, tantalising. Can't wait for more and Batman Begins was easily one of my favourite movies in the past few years.

Why would you bother downloading the HD when there's not even any footage?! It's just voices and a logo! Nothing else :P
Crappiest. Trailer. Ever
Hopefully they didn't forget to take the len caps off whilst shooting this movie. Looking forward to it :)

It is only a teaser trailer. Can't wait till December though.. :)

Yeah its only a teaser (still a cool one), but the HD version is pretty pointless :P

Some of us like good sound quality.. (that generally comes with the HD releases over youtube/lq versions). :)

Yeah of course, but thats more important when watching the actual film ;)
Anyway on the film, Harvey Dent will be in it, I wonder if we will see Two Face?

Teaser trailer was underwhelming but I suppose It's to be expected. Found these earlier...

There have been some great Joker variations outside of comic books, but I don't think any of them have used The Joker to his full potential. Hopefully, this version focuses more on the fact that he's a homicidal psychopath, and less on the fact that he looks like a clown.
borgster101 - August 2, 2007 08:28 AM (GMT)
This film looks like it will have the most "real" Joker yet :D
Drake - August 5, 2007 04:56 AM (GMT)
What ever happened to that supposed trailer where a silhouetted figure is seen behind a window. He talks as the camera gets closer. When the lightning flashes, you see its The Joker and you hear him laugh.

Do you have a link of that?
quartz_donkey - August 5, 2007 07:28 AM (GMT)
Here's hoping that Harely Quinn is in it. Being played by Kirsten Bell maybe? Eh don't know but I do know I'll be all over this movie when it comes out.
Random Hero - August 10, 2007 10:18 AM (GMT)
I always hated the cartoony joker when compared to him being portrayed as a psychopath. I think him being sick and twisted and not to over the top will be great.
Robert - September 8, 2007 06:52 AM (GMT)
i don't think ledger is a wrong choice for the role. he's a good actor and i'm waiting to see his joker version, but there are a lot of good actors that were considered for the role like adrian brody, who i think would've been an excellent joker, but if they preferd ledger, he must be doing a really good job.

Kiya Atsumiya's joker in Child of Dreams is fantastic - I think you'd dig it like Ivan Milat and a shallow grave.
Heath Ledger I'm having a hard time picturing, but I'm certainly curious. Once 'gay cowboy' is on your resume, you've pretty much proven you can play any part you like.
EDIT: I had typed "Child of Creams".
Don't drink and type kids.

What is the future of the Batman franchise? Is Nolan planning on doing a trilogy or what? I say after 3 they should continue without Nolan/Bale, but make the 4th, 5th films in continuity. Theirs no reason to reboot again or wait 5+ years to continue the series.
borgster101 - December 9, 2007 04:36 AM (GMT)

WOOO :D
/backslash - December 9, 2007 05:04 AM (GMT)
Can't wait till July! Though I wish we could see these movies without having to go into the future
Stevorooni - December 9, 2007 05:29 AM (GMT)
It's awesome how the chick they got to replace Katie Holmes looks almost exactly like Katie Holmes
Robert - December 9, 2007 05:30 AM (GMT)
Is there too much hype for The Dark Knight? It just seems like it is, I mean what if the movie disappoints? Then what? All this hype isn't called for, the movie doesn't come until...August?
borgster101 - December 9, 2007 05:37 AM (GMT)
The hype is warranted because Batman Begins was brilliant and the same talent returns for the sequel, also the storyline of the movies was designed with the sequel in mind, and finally it's all based on David Goyer's work, which is considered to be canon in the Batman mythology.

You're the one who just got hyped up about Burnout Paradise and made a thread about it :P Comes out in mid July btw
Robert - December 9, 2007 06:02 AM (GMT)
I know i'm a sucker for hype. :P I guess I just don't agree with the people who say its impossible for this disappoint, there's always a possibility for a movie to disappoint no matter how good the cast or the director is. From what we've seen of the film so far I have faith that Nolan will deliver, but we'll have to see.
borgster101 - December 18, 2007 04:19 AM (GMT)
NEW TRAILER:woot:
WOW, come on July!!!!! :D
Machiavelli - December 18, 2007 07:26 AM (GMT)
Downloaded the HD version last night and I've watched it five or six times already. :)
That trailer was glorious, my friends, pure glory. By far my most awaited movie of 2008. Ledger really does look the part and from the glimpse we saw seems pretty damn convincing as a psychopathic killer. However, will he have the same twisted sense of humour and the theatricalities of Nicholson and his comic book counterpart? I suppose only time will tell.

If you've watched the prologue, you'd know that Ledger's Joker is going to make Nicholson's Joker look like a ponce.
Seriously cannot wait for this film.
FreakTrigger - January 23, 2008 12:19 AM (GMT)
Well the news of Heath Ledger's death is out as of a few hours ago - he was a young man at only 28 and well and truly in the prime of his career as an extremely talented actor.
This definitely casts a somber note over the whole movie. I've always made a point of seeing Ledger's films and I'll miss his work in the future.
OldSkOoL - January 23, 2008 12:33 AM (GMT)
Well hopefully they've finished with Ledger as the joker and it can still be released. It makes me want to see this movie more.
D43M0N - January 23, 2008 01:16 AM (GMT)
The film is in post-production, so the only issue they'd have is a possible reshoot of a scene or some ADR (redubbing scenes with too much background noise).
Robert - January 23, 2008 02:25 AM (GMT)
That's so wrong, reminds me of the whole brandon lee, crowe thing that happened. I wonder if they will have to do the same thing on the dark knight?
He had a daughter as well, so sad.
borgster101 - January 23, 2008 05:32 AM (GMT)
The news of his death is such a shock, and very sad :(
Given Ledger's excellent performance as the Joker (judging from the trailer) it's going to be quite something watching what is now his final performance. I hope not too much has to change because it looked like he really nailed the part.
And I believe his daughter was only 2 years old, very tragic indeed. :(

I don't think they'll have any choice but to finish off his scenes with cgi/doubles/unused footage.
Despite the tragedy they'd be stupid not to leave Heath in this film, the fact that he's died means that the film will now be a bigger success than before.
I want to see the film even more now because it'll be the last chance to see such a great actor in action.
borgster101 - January 23, 2008 07:56 AM (GMT)
Removing Ledger completely from the role would also be a great injustice to his performance.

Why so serious?
FreakTrigger - January 23, 2008 08:32 AM (GMT)
Because a 28 year old with a 2 year old daughter is dead.
I don't really see a funny side to be honest.
Texta - January 23, 2008 08:40 AM (GMT)
It's the tag line to the Dark Knight.
dave_cool31 - January 23, 2008 10:09 AM (GMT)
zing.
*Ahem* sorry, that probably wasn't appropriate...
So some lady who I served at work today was saying to someone that Heath Ledger had "killed himself" - I don't know how someone can make such a definite statement like that. Having said that, when I was serving her, she said that she doesn't know for sure that he'd taken his own life. But talk about jumping to conclusions. For all we know, it could have been an accident or something. Someone told me that they'd heard that he had pneumonia at the time, and so if it was drug-related, it's possible, and probably likely, that it was an accident caused by an exaggerated reaction because of his already being sick... Anyway, I don't like jumping to conclusions. It's a sad thing, though. And it does also make me want to see The Dark Knight more than I did previously.
borgster101 - January 23, 2008 08:54 PM (GMT)
Yeah people jump to conculsions like that all the time with these sorts of things, it's stupid to do so, because there's no evidence to back up these claims. It's the media's fault for jumping the gun though, thats where it came from when news first broke.
samiboi - January 26, 2008 11:45 AM (GMT)
I dunno if you heard (you probably have) but pills were found around his body, that's probably why people are jumping to conclusions about it being suicide...
Anyway I'm definitely going to see this, it's the last chance to see Ledger on the big screen. Can't wait
Drake - January 27, 2008 06:25 AM (GMT)
So will there be an ending reshoot for The Dark Knight? Several people have stated that Nolan wants the Joker to be in the third film. However, given recent events that have occured. Do you think there will be a reshoot where the Joker dies instead of escaping at the end?
