1. Paper or Plastic?

2. Star Wars or Star Trek

3. Flatout or Burnout

4. Leather or Suede (as in jackets)

5. X-men or Spider-Man (the movies)

Andy - July 29, 2007 01:29 PM (GMT)
1. What do you think of the new GTR? True successor for the GTR line?

2. will a racing MMO ever replace enthusiastic driving on the road? I know that emotionally, it probably won't, but with regulations continually being enforced on the roads, will it soon become more satisfying to simply race online and not risk your life/wallet/being followed constantly by the constabulary?

3. Do you get annoyed at those people in Australia who think that it's V8 engines or nothing?

4. The earth runs out of oil/petrol. What alternative fueled car do you get?

5. Would you wish for some kind of hover car?

:)

1. As far as I can remember, yeah. Mum and all of her friends are into cars so I sorta grew up around them and yeah, as I grew so did my passion for cars. Of course, when I was younger my 'taste' was bias due to mum's influence and so on but in the last few years I have developed my own 'taste' and yeah I'm happy with it. This may interest you (or it may bore you - either one) but I'm more into Motorsport than I am cars as a whole - but you couldn't have one without the other now could you?

2. 2 and a half years. :dance3:

3. You ask the impossible sir! Um, I honestly can't answer that with any form of truth because I love so many bands it isn't funny. According the Last.FM the most played band is Children of Bodom, so you could either say the Bodom masters or the absolute fucking brilliance that is Opeth.

4. PALGN, Hyperactive and Creative Uncut.

5. Achievement whore? :P Nah I don't have one at the moment unfortunately. Looking for one, naturally, but yeah none at the moment.

1. I have answered this already smart arse. :P I don't know what it is really. I guess you could say that my 'love' for them comes from the completionist in me. I definitely don't go for the achievements because of the stupid gamerscore that you gain from them. I go for the achievements that I deem possible and that's that. I guess I just try to go for as much as possible because I am a completionist and I want to finish every game I own/play. Yes even Zelda. :P

2. Yeah I do, sorta. I won't mention it here incase by chance I spoil something for someone else, but yeah I remember what happened in the game. I can even remember how the first two dungeons played out, too.

3. I do actually, yeah. It's... well, appealing. ;) As for playing Dreamfall and the Longest Journey - I'd love to because they sound like really awesome games but alas, my PC sucks. Buy me a new one and then I'll definitely play them. ;)

4. Because I'm a stupid fool who doesn't have a brain.

5. Oh hell no.

1. When our paths meet? *shrugs*

2. Because we're both poor bastards that haven't made it happen yet?

3. The day I am playing the particular game that it happens to be based on.

4. FUCKING YES ALREADY! No, really. Words cannot describe how much I want that fucking game. I WANT IT NOW ALREADY DAMMIT!

5. Well that depends, are we talking 2007 titles only here or can I include future titles as well? I'll answer for 2007 titles first, I guess.

Mass Effect and GTA IV are probably tied as the most anticipated once BioShock hits, for reasons I'm sure I don't have to explain. As for games that aren't on the 360, without question it is Metroid Prime 3. I mean come on man, it's Metroid, it's me - matchmade in heaven. Or something. (for the record, overall Metroid Prime 3 is the most anticipated of the year but since I only have the 360 at the moment, I answered that with the focus on said console)

1. Sexy Jumbled Ostrich69.

2. The Sims. I dunno what it is but I just can't stand playing that game (in its various forms) at all. It's ironic though, since I love Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon and similar games. Just can't stand The Sims.

3. Hopefully even better than what they are now. Cliche answer perhaps, but to elaborate on it - I think gaming is in its prime at the moment and no matter which console you back (or all 3) the future ahead is very enticing and therefore compelling. If we (I?) can get that feeling now, I can only imagine what we'll be seeing and what I'll be feeling come 20 years time. I'm looking forward to it, definitely.

4. Well I guess you would need to define 'cheat', first. If you mean exploiting a glitch or whatever to progress in a game then no, absolutely not. If you mean to have fun with various game mechanics for the sake of screwing around though, then yes absolutely. It's good fun playing around with cheats on in games like Crackdown or GTA, definitely.

5. Because you live in the ocean? :P

1. Er, paper.

2. Star Wars.

3. Burnout hands down. Flatout may be good, but Burnout shits all over it.

4. I actually haven't ever really thought about it so yeah, I dunno. Sorry.

5. X-Men. That answer fails though as I haven't seen the Spiderman films yet...

However even if I had, I dare say I'd still choose X-Men because the X-Men movies have Rogue in it and she is massive win.

1. Because my PC sucks, I haven't actually ever played a GTR game. Sorry.

2. Yes. Well okay, maybe not replace it because a digital world cannot replace the 'thrill' you can get from going fast in a car in real life, or whatever. However I do think that as more and more games come out, they will definitely provide a more interesting and dare I say it entertaining alternative to doing the actions in the real world. The risk of life won't be there anymore, the possible cost of a crash or whatever wouldn't be there anymore (in-game money is nothing, real money is - obviously) and yeah I think it will be just easier or more beneficial for the hoons of the world to just do there crazy shit in game rather than in real life.

3. Yes and no. I love me a good V8 (I am a massive fan of the Supercars after all) but at the same time I'm a fan of many cars with many different engines. I think it's stupid to ONLY love cars with a V8 engine, yes, but everybody has their own preferences too. Doesn't mean their passion for cars is any less than it is mine, or whatever.

4. Electric, I guess.

5. Hover as in just above the ground, or hover as in similar style to Perfect Dark or Futurama (quite high in the air)? Both would be cool to see so yeah I wouldn't mind seeing it in the future.

First time I have ever been in a hotseat or whatever on a forum. I enjoyed that, so, gimme more! :P

Sorry, I should qualified that with "Nissan GTR", the next supercar from Nissan. They're not using "Skyline" in the name anymore.

Because it looks so different to before, i was wondering what a Skyline fan thinks of it.

Well, the first game The Longest Journey is quite old released in 1999, so your ancient PC could probably run it :P

As for the sequel Dreamfall, there is an Xbox version, that is compatible on 360, so now you have no excuse :P You can get both games ;)

Don't be so sure man, this PC does really suck. ;) It's not like I could ever play a game on this thing (and be immersed in it) anyway, since it's in the lounge room and all. If I were to ever play PC games it'd have to be on my own PC which would be in my room. Someday, I guess.

Well, way to misread that one there Nismo! To answer your question for real this time, I think the new GTR looks quite nice. It seems to be balanced quite well, the handling seems like it's really good and well as far as I'm aware Nissan wanted to make it run as good, if not better, than the Porsches around the good old Nurburgring, so if they can achieve that they are certainly onto a winner.

But apart from that, I don't actually know all that much about it. I was kinda waiting until we saw the final thing rather than hear about concept versions or whatever. Anyway.

Random question but no, not really.

Because, like the sport, the games are destined to suck. :P

Seriously though, sorry for not being here much to answer the questions and also sorry for taking a while to pass the reigns over the Imek.

Blame the fact that I am just plain bored with the net at the moment, I guess.
