As this is the Arcade & Retro forum, I thought it fitting to talk about one of the all time great Arcade games in AIR HOCKEY!

Honestly, if machines could feed me food and some sort of mechanics could keep me standing - I'd never stop playing Air Hockey. The main problem is the serious amount of money I waste on it, not to mention the fact that that money, carefully saved, would've bought an awesome table for myself by now.

Has anyone experienced the Air Hockey they have in places like Bali? Basically, it's a lot faster with multiple pucks and a protective dome over the top because it gets dangerous.

Anyone out there own their own table or know someone who does?

Anyone consider themselves a bit of an Air Hockey freak?

I rarely play it anymore (being a writer makes you poor...very, very poor), but I used to have one at my local church office that didn't require money. I owned the damn thing! Bwa ha ha haaa! B)

I don't go to arcades often anymore, but the air hockey table usually receives at least two or three plays, depending on whom I'm with. I can get mighty violent with that puck sometimes. It's not uncommon for it to fly halfway across the place. :P

i love Air Hockey too but 99% of the time my friends don't want to play, even if i pay for the whole game :( stupid friends!

I have an Air Hockey table, it's about 2m behind me. :)

And the Fusbal table is about 2m next to me. :)

anyway air hockey is still one of my favorite games. although i only play it very rarely (probably adding to it's longevity) but i always have a go if i see a table and someone to play with. :up:

I know someone who made an air hockey table form scratch, and it's pretty damn good.

Can't tell you how he made it though..I haven't got a clue, except he used an old refrigerator motor...or something like that.

Air hockey rules. Probably the only reason I go to play at an arcade anymore.

hmmm.air hockey is the classic of all classic games.nothing beats air hockey,but the arcades here dont even bother to maitain the machines.so it's a real big disappointment.

I play air hockey sometimes, but not often. Frankly I don't think there's much to the game, mostly just luck and an ability to move your arm faster than your opponent.

Air hockey is where I am a viking. I go ten pin bowling just so I can do some serious ass whupping, air hockey style, afterwards. Give me a puck and one of those little paddle things and I can't be stopped.

These machines were basically my life when I was a little tacker whose father happened to be friends with the guy that owned the local Timezone.

I was once at a mates lock in party (remember when they were all the rage?) and we were running a constant tournament where the winner stayed on, loser took off to play something else.

I wasn't removed from the table for two and a half hours. Eventually fatigue took its toll.

How much do you think a full size, full pro air hockey table would set me back?

I saw a pretty schmick one recently that was going for $3900 brand new.

I played Air Hockey a few days back, and owned a few cocky mates... I've never been a huge fan of it, but I found it a really fun and sociable activity... and it can get really competitive, too. <_<

I loved Air Hockey was quite the master. I'm a cheater though I've been putting my knuckles on the table and saving some goals. It fucking hurts but It guarentees victory!

I love Air hockey.My cousin works in an arcade so she give's me the keys to open up the machine so i get unlimited credets.
