If you happen to be one of the lucky few in Australia to have access to the Halo 3 Beta, then here is a scoop you can try for yourself.

Unlike previous models of the Chief, there is something different about the Halo 3 rendition. Beneath the mask lies a face. In previous installments, modelers didn't bother rendering a face beneath the Chief's helmet as there was no use - his face was never to be shown. However it seems there is more than just empty polygons beneath the surface now.

This photo may not seem like much, however the mere fact that there is anything behind the mask at all is enough to arouse speculation.

Thats so cool! This might mean they will show his face on Single Player.

Brilliant! I want to see the Chief unmasked, no matter what anyone else thinks. It'd be cool to see the hero, face-to-face so to speak.
