How to play the game

After applying, I will schedule a date for the contestants. They must respond to that date within 24-48 hours to either take the spot or leave it. If they can't make it, or do not respond, I will give that spot to someone else that can make it. Once the times are squared away, we will start the game. The game will take place in this forum in a designated pinned topic.

Those familiar with the concepts in Deal or No Deal should understand how to play.

Essentially:

There are 20 cases that using a random number generator contain a different prize each. So no two games should be exactly alike as the numbers are randomly changed each round. I, The Devil's Advocate am the host of the game. I will have no knowledge of what is in the case. The Devil, who is interested in your immortal soul and wants to make you suffer, will contact me throughout the game and offer you deals that you can take or leave. If you choose to take the deal, you have "sold your soul to the devil" and taken his deal. If you choose to reject the deal, you must open a certain amount of cases to eliminate the amounts left. Once 18 cases have been eliminated, the Devil will stop making offers and you will either take the case you have chosen at the start of the game, or risk switching it with the remaining case.

The person in charge of the cases is the Devil's Assistant. He will be the only one who knows what each case contains and he will be responsible for revealing each case amount. This ensures that the Devil can not give out unreasonable offers.

As you are making a deal with the devil, you immediately agree to risk suffering in order to pursue a greater prize. Your goal is to knock out all of the Bottom 10 cases. By doing that, you will force the devil to offer you better deals. The first case in the 10 prize list cases is Nothing. If this is in your case or you receive this offer from the devil, you can walk away from the game and leave with your immortal soul intact. But you will also receive nothing else for your troubles. The Weekly Grand Prize will change each week and will not be revealed until the game starts.

From there, I'll look at the applicants and schedule a time mutually beneficial for myself, the assistant, the devil and that person. And then we will play the game. I'll likely favour those in the Eastern Timezone first as it works well with my schedule.

When would we be playing?

June is interesting for me. After June 13th, I'll be considerably more flexible, but I do have some things going on this month. Likely, I'd schedule people for Monday nights and any time Wednesdays and if necessary Sundays before 8 pm EST. Remember times are in Eastern time. You'll need to figure out what time that is for your timezone and adjust accordingly.

How many contestants per week

I'd take about 5-10 if necessary. I'll do my best to spread it around. The more flexible everyone is, the better.
