Title: Alright, this is really annoying me to no end.
Description: FFS.

Ok, so. I was having problems with iPod/iTunes. It was slow etc. Mate said that if I sync it, it'll go faster. So I reinstalled iTunes and wiped the library (which then wiped my iPod and half my music from my harddrive... but that's another story), and then tried syncing about 170 songs from the itunes library to my ipod.
LAG. I couldn't open iTunes. It would kind of half display but lag and stuff.
It was like... desktop lag. Everytime I'd minimize the last window before going to my desktop, it wouldn't show it completely. Then, when I went to play music through winamp, winamp would show up, but nothing would happen, and then I couldn't close the folder that I had opened.
So I'm like "alright, major lag. I'll leave it overnight." Come back the next morning. Everything's still there, despite ending tasks via task manager and clicking 'x's' etc. But then when I close iTunes, it seemed to be ok. Stuff went away.
Well, tonight it's playing up still. When I go to play music via winamp, it does the same thing. Ending task gets rid of it, but yeah. It won't play it. I reinstalled winamp... same thing. I open music in WMP, and it plays, but WMP lags saying 'loading' and doesn't display the little bar showing the progress through the song or anything, and if I click anything, it says not responding but still plays.
Aaaaaand my net's also been capped, and I can't log on MSN because I get kinda the same problem. MSN lags, turns into a not responding and won't sign on, and I have to end task. Also, when I try signing in, it seems to almost drop my net out cause any pages that are loading seem to stop until I end task on MSN.
Bloody hell. Anyone know whats going on here?

Have you tried re-installing iTunes?
I'd love to help, but I've avoided iTines like the plauge, so I've very little experience with it.

Well I try to avoid it too, but I need it for my iPod, see.
I shall try reinstalling now.
Btw, internet speed is back, but MSN is still not freezing up on me.

Wow, so I uninstalled iTunes, restarted, and now both Winamp AND MSN work again.
Go figure? Wtf?
So I'll hold off reinstalling iTunes for now.

Thats odd... I've never seen that sort of behaviour with itunes.
Perhaps try regressing to a prior version and see if the problem persists?

Run all your spy ware protection and reinstall it again.

You can get programs/plugins that'll sinc to your ipod the same as itunes.
I tried out a plugin for Winamp a while back with my sister's ipod, and that worked fine.
Only downside was that when she used it with itunes on another pc, all her songs got deleted.

And Ad protection as well, just for the hell of it.
