I'm sick of Disc-Read errors, so it would either have to be new or in super good, never-fail condition.

I've got a thomson drive which doesn't work 70% of the time, though when it plays, it plays — so if you wanted to swap this over I'd happily send it your way for a couple of bucks off the price.

If not - does anyone know where I could buy one new?

At $99 though it might be cheaper to just buy another Xbox and get it checked to make sure it's Samsung. Mine was a Samsung but I sold that a couple of years ago

Thanks - youch. I bought one ages ago on eBay for like $60 - but had to sell it again to make some quick cash.
Gawd, a new xbox would be almost cheaper.
