Some of you are now familiar with the liitle trick some people do in order to be able to download exclusive content from foreign territories like the US and Japan on XBox 360's Marketplace. Well the bad news is that MS are finally doing something about the 'cheating' on accounts. They are strengthening the territory controls making it impossible to download stuff outside of your territory. Quote from Gamerscoreblog:

Well, if you have an account that matches the country where you are located, then you will probably notice little to no difference. However, if you have set up an account that does not match the country where you are located, you will find that these new security measures will only allow you to purchase and download content that is licensed in the country where you are located.

Bad news for you guys then. :P The update will be available on May 7th along with the new MSN Live Messenger updates.

I never bothered with a foreign account so it doesnt really effect me. I can see how this would be annoying for some, but it was obviously going to happen eventually..

I too don't use an account to download stuff from America or wherever. I considered it when TMNT and Boom Boom Rocket didn't hit our shores, but meh.

What's the big deal, what possible harm could it bring?
