So a friend of mine has made it all the way to the semi finals of Australia's Got Talent. His act is footbag, and he's also an Australian Champion.

Freestyle footbag is a little like "hacky sack" but much more skillful and impressive.

It's a tough decision though. I'm not the biggest fan of Dan as a person, so I don't know if I want to waste 55c to make his head even bigger.

In all honesty, he's a very self centred person, and very hard to like at all. Still it's a great promotion for footbag, and that's why I'm supporting it. I'm more than happy to put aside my personal differences with Dan (he once launched an enormous personal attack on me, stating that I was bad for footbag and that the world would only be better when I died) and support him as much as I can. I have only played footbag with him twice in the last 3 years because I dislike him so much, yet I'm encouraging people to vote for him. I hope you can see from that how important it is that we all vote for him. You're only allowed to vote once, so it can't hurt :)

Also I did seriously consider entering, and feel confident that I'm a much better performer than Dan is, but decided I wasn't going to pay for the flights when my chances of winning are obviously very small (no doubt the annoying little girl singer will win) and thought Dan would do a good job anyway.

While we're talking about people on talent shows, keep an eye on the upcoming season of Australian Idol. A good friend of mine is auditioning, she's only 17, but she can really sing.

I'm not being biased. She's an absolutely amazing singer. She won a song writing competition and got studio time to record her song. Again, not being biased, but I really would not be surprised if she got through to the top 12.

Andy can sing, fuck I love his voice, anyway, he won $5,000 for singing a couple of years back.

I will vote for her if you vote for footbag :)

I saw the hacky-sack man on his final performnance but was rather disapointed in it. He was very good but his tricks were lacking. I didn't see a pendelum or a sole-stall and wtf was he wearing green latex shit for? That can't be good for the sport, oh and he came off as a gay.

This is the problem with footbag performances for the public.

For the record; pendulum = 1 point move. Sole stall = 2 point move.

The stuff Dan was hitting was mainly around 3 to 4 points. ie. 2 to 4 times harder.

In fact in modern freestyle, you're expected to play at the level you're capable of, which means all of the top footbaggers in the world never hit 1 or 2 point moves anymore; everything they do is worth at least 3 points.

DZ knows my pals are gay because he's been going out with one of them for the last 2 years. You guys should keep the noise down too, because not everybody appreciates listening to men having sex.

In other news, I think i just heard the snapping of Political Correctness' vertebrae.

I can't really have an opinion because I obviously don't watch this show, but giving AU$250,000 to some guy who plays songs through a leaf or kicks a footbag around is a bit scandalous, and I don't mean to be offensive Beast.

Someone that actually contributes to their society is worth that sort of money, IMHO. :unsure:

I often listen to Red Symonds' breakfast progran on ABC Local Radio 774 Melbourne and I completely agree with him him when he descri8bed the show as a kids show.

By the way the show's finished, the young woman won with her singing.
