Title: iPod Video woes
Description: Help a girl out, will ya?

Mods can feel free to move this if it's in the wrong section, but I figured here would be the best place to post this.
I have a video iPod and I love it to pieces. I have episodes 1-7 of Metalocalypse on there that I downloaded from a random site that were already in iPod format, and I have some music videos I bought off iTunes. I recently downloaded a ton of free music videos, and I want to put them on my iPod. iPod videos are in a specific, weird format. So I downloaded the Videora iPod Converter, which I can say with confidence was the biggest waste of time ever - it didn't work.
I have two questions here.
1. Is there a program any of you would recommend to convert normal videos into iPod format?
2. Is there a good place where I can search for videos that are already in the iPod format?
Any help is appreciated, guys!

Well your question is about file formats and the like, which fits fine here, even though "PC" and "Apple" don't exactly mix :P
Unfortantly I dont have an answer to your question, but perhaps someone else does.

This is the one recommended by Download.com, give that a go. They also highly recommend
this one.
As for websites, a lot of video sites have a download for iPod option now. Alternatively any .mp4 file is the same thing. A website dedicated to iPod compatible videos, well I don't know any - well, there is iTunes... :P

I was about to suggest Videora, but then I read your post again. :P
Anyway, iTunes can do it for you. It's under "Advanced", as "Convert for iPod". For your second question, I can't tell you anything other than the iTunes Music Store, but you'd have to pay for that.

Download.com is always the first place you should try, nothing like freebie software. :D

Thanks for all your help, guys! I'm going to try it out ASAP and I'll let you know what works and what doesn't.
EDIT: Having iTunes convert it works but my god it takes forever, then again, most conversion programs probably do. Thanks so much, guys!
RE-EDIT: I downloaded a Dir en grey video that was already in iPod format and that worked fine. But when I converted two other videos, there's no sound when I play them.
WHAT THE HELL, APPLE?

...this has happened to me as well. Not on all videos, just some of the ones. I have no idea why.
