Description: Ole!

Quatters - March 23, 2007 04:38 AM (GMT)
Hey hey, you might remember me from such other forums as Hyperactive and Doeswankerism. So no real need to introduce myself as I think I know almost everyone here!
If you don't know me, interrogate away!

Ok, more info,
Am 25, from Sydney. In Sydney atm, though I was living in London for the last 2 years. I do intend to return soon though!
Love my video games, I've been playing them as long as I can remember. I was terrible at saving money so we never owned a console, though most weekends, my brothers and I would rent one from the local video store. Eventually my parents bought me a SNES as a reward for getting into a selective highschool.
After that I bought a N64, and was pretty much a Ninty fanboy. Though I seriously got into RPGs during the SNES era, and the lack of N64 RPGs and constant PSX RPG releases I'd read in Hyper eventually led me into getting a PSX as well and multi-platform loving. Next Gen I owned 2 PS2s (1 in Sydney, the other in London) a GCN and an Xbox. Haven't got anything current gen as there's only a few games I really want and my pile of unfinished PS2 games is way too large. On the handheld front it's been all Nintendo, GB, GBA, DS and DSL. Though I may get a PSP sometime in the future after the re-design.

Is that enough info for you?

Welcome to Evolution Quatters, good to have you aboard mate. I'm absolutely loving that Burns avatar.

It wasn't my number 1 choice. I wanted to do a Speedway Squad themed thing, but for some reason print screen doesn't work on my DVD playing software.

Have you tried taking a snapshot using the VLC media player? That always worked for me.

Quatters - March 26, 2007 06:30 AM (GMT)
No I hadn't, but I took the lazy route and just tracked down the clip on Youtube.

Welcome aboard Q-Man.

Quatters likes Nippon Ichi games and Sin Megami Tensei so he is allowed to stay. :P

Yes, it gets the stamp of approval from me.
A question now, are there any big differences you see in the gaming markets here compared to London or wherever else you travel?

Not hugely.
In London very much like here. But you do see more people play games in public. Which is a good thing!
Italy is different, there's nowhere near as many video game stores, and normal stores stock much less. People still play, but not that much. Also their main flavour is soccer games. They seem to be 50% of the market!
France is similar to Italy but a little easier to find video game stuff.
Hungary and the Czech Republic I didn't see enough places or spend enough time to comment.
Amsterdam, well, I wasn't really paying attention!

Prices seem to be very similar. Where they may have something for cheaper, something else will be more expensive. Bar London, almost everything is more expensive.
