Well lets face it, the mod/admin badges currently in effect on the forums aren't exactly doing our quite stylish forum any justice so this thread, with the go-ahead from Gregg, has been made as a chance to strut your stuff and design what could be the new admin/mod badges.

I would make a size restriction of probably no more than 80 pixels wide so that it will be flush with most user's avatars and around 20 pixels high. ( W 80pixels x H ~20 pixels)

Be creative as you like, although I would recommend keeping with the theme and style of the forum itself.

Cut-off will have to be this Sunday because I really have no hope of getting near the computer after then due to exams, so get your entries in before then, and enter as many times as you like.

I have a feeling Sunday may be a tad early for most users.

Fine, fine, next Sunday, the one after this one, okay?

i would do a new badge but i can't be buggered. it'd only look crappy if i tried anyway, plus i don't have much time on my hands at the moment

Well this is working well...

I' haven't got any probmels with the current badges, but I don't mind if people change em....

The badges themselves look great but they looked awkward at their default size because they were so big, and now the text doesn't fit on them properly now that they are small. At least pretend to make one... please? :(

Smit: Those are actually really good, and the shape of them is actually the shape I was experimenting with, however I do suggest that you decrease the size down to around W 80 pixels x H 20 pixels. One of the main criticisms about the last set of mod badges is that they were too large.

I thought this link might be useful as I've stuck a few badges up for people to have a look at/get inspired by etc. The character ones appear to be popular so if someone wants to make something along the lines of those it would be a sure hit.
