Machiavelli - May 10, 2004 08:35 AM (GMT)
Such a tough choice, but it has to be done! :P

1. The Opposite - "If every instinct you have is wrong then the opposite would have to be right."

2. The Contest - "My mother caught me."

3. The Frogger - "He kinda looks like a frog" - "So do you."

Shadow Knight - May 10, 2004 08:53 AM (GMT)
1."The Betrayal"-"You slept with the groom?"
2. "The finale"-"Oh and by the way, they're real and they're spectacular!"
3."The Little Jerry"-"They're gonna get Little Jerry!"

Yiou're right mach, it was a very tough choice.

Since I'm such a Seinfeld n00b, (i used to hate the show) i can't remember names of shows, and I just plain enjoy Seinfeld now.

I'm one of the few people who doesn't get annoyed by endless repeats of Seinfeld as I haven't seen even a third of all the shows but I'll say that The Soup Nazi is probably my favourite episode.

Actually any episode with a lot of Newman in it is a great episode :D

Ghost Boy - May 10, 2004 09:47 AM (GMT)
Seinfeld is one of the few shows I never get sick of - it's just humour done too well.

To pick three is impossible and about .45 seconds after submitting this post I'll think of another one that should be in the top three. In no particular order though...

1) The Soup Nazi - probably the best known and for good reason.
2) The Pez Dispenser - who doesn't like Pez!?
3) The Marine Biologist - the best ending to a Seinfeld ever and George's greatest speech!

Almighty Beanchild - May 10, 2004 09:51 AM (GMT)
I don't really know episode names but here it goes...

The Soup Nazi - A crazed shop owner, two queer muggers and an excellent crab bisque.

The Modified Desk - Where George sleeps on the shelf on the bottom of his desk.

The third one is tricky. It's either the one where Jerry doesn't know his girlfriends name or the one where George gets a toupee.

I think I'll go with Toupee just because of the line from Elayne "I DON'T LIKE THIS THING!"

Ahhh, it's a great show.

Shadow Knight - May 10, 2004 10:16 AM (GMT)
Mach; make it 10 i just though of some more. ;) :P

The Coconut King - May 10, 2004 12:00 PM (GMT)
The Puerta Rico Day Festival
The rest

josh - May 10, 2004 12:33 PM (GMT)
The Soup Nazi
The Pez Dispenser
The Contest

I'm almost doubling over now, just from thinking about these eps :D

darklord - May 10, 2004 08:13 PM (GMT)
The Modified Desk
The shower head
The Soup Nazi

Cuzza - May 10, 2004 09:38 PM (GMT)
It's great to see a seinfeld thread here :D

My favourites would have to be: (I can't really remember the names, sorry)
The Soup Nazi.
The Cadalac one
The Twix episode.

[m]averick - May 11, 2004 01:20 AM (GMT)
I also like the episode where Jerry thinks his girlfriend wears the same black and white dress over and over....GOLD!!!

__________ - May 11, 2004 01:34 AM (GMT)
1. The Soup nazi
2. The Pick
3. The Frogger.

seriously one of the best sit coms ever made

josh - May 11, 2004 02:38 AM (GMT)
A little birdy told me last night that Season One will apparently be available on DVD by this christmas.

Region one that is :)

Manny M - May 11, 2004 03:17 AM (GMT)
Favourite 3!!

I can't do it, I can't do it I tell ya!!!!

TWIX!!!!

Comrade Natrak - May 11, 2004 07:15 AM (GMT)
1. The Jimmy - "Jimmy can jump!" "George likes spicy chicken"

2. The Little Jerry - "That' not a chicken! That's like a dog with a glove on its head!"

3. I can't remember the name of the episode, but the one where Jerry is being investigated for Mail Fraud.

Gnomey_g - May 11, 2004 07:31 AM (GMT)
Pig Man - 'He's a pig man Jerry, a pig man!'
Soup Nazi - 'No soup for you!'
Bubble Boy - 'Moops'

tinklez - May 11, 2004 07:46 AM (GMT)
'The Soup Nazi' and 'The Frogger' are definately my two favourite episodes. Thinking of a third one is a little more difficult becuase they're all bloody hilarious, so before I keep changing my mind, it's best that I just leave it at the 2.

Mine! :o

Almighty Beanchild - May 11, 2004 09:52 AM (GMT)
Not an episode I know, but my favourite minor character would have to be Babu.

So props to any episode that has Babu in it :P

Buffoon - May 11, 2004 01:19 PM (GMT)
Dammit, why can I never find that occasionally-helpful-but-otherwise-pretty-crap book that lists the names of all the episodes? I can never remember them.

Anyway, in third place I'd put The Marine Biologist. It was the episode that got me watching Seinfeld in the first place, and yes, the ending is great.

In second place I'd put The Frogger, the scene where George tries to get the machine across the road is one of the funniest things I've ever witnessed.

In first place, though, I'd put the one whose name I can't quite remember... It's probably called 'The Outing' or something equally sensible. Anyway, I'm sure all I need to say is 'Not that there's anything wrong with that!'

Babu, of course! 'The Cafe', in which Jerry gives Babu suggestions about his restaurant and where Elaine takes George's IQ test would be my third favourite episode.

Babu: "You bad man! You very, very bad man!"
Jerry (thinking to himself): "Bad man? Could've my mother been wrong?"

Yep, it's called 'The Outing' -- yet another of my favourites.

Machiavelli - May 17, 2004 04:03 AM (GMT)
I've changed this into a Seinfeld trivia thread, we so need an active Seinfeld thread.

If you answer correctly, post your own question. I'll get things started...

Q - What was Kramer's "Bizarro World" counterpart's name?

Sweating Bullets - May 17, 2004 04:12 AM (GMT)
Feldman

~DC - May 17, 2004 04:26 AM (GMT)
I was contemplating replying in this thread a while back but honesty couldn't select my three all time favourite episodes. That was until I saw the Seinfeld Chronicles last night on Foxtel which has a majority of the very best and classic moments throughout the entire series.

Awesome viewing. ;)

Damn you bullets.

I was also working on a rather large Seinfeld trivia sheet for my trivia bot ( which has died in recent months, but this might give me enough incentive to get back into it.

Sweating Bullets - May 17, 2004 05:02 AM (GMT)
What was the nickname for Jerry's girlfriend that episode?

Manny M - May 18, 2004 01:13 AM (GMT)
..Mulva?

cd2 - May 18, 2004 01:18 AM (GMT)
I thought it was delourous(SP)?

Manny M - May 18, 2004 01:40 AM (GMT)
Deloris was her real name. He forgot her real name but remembered it rhymed with a female body part...thus the nickname "Mulva".

But I don't think Mulva is the right answer anyway.

Sweating Bullets - May 18, 2004 01:43 AM (GMT)
Mulva is not right.

Its still on the Bizarro World episode. Jerry is seeing someone at the time and has a nickname for them.

OldSkOoL - May 18, 2004 02:22 AM (GMT)
Its Man Hands I beileve

Sweating Bullets - May 18, 2004 03:26 AM (GMT)
Oldskool is indeed correct.

OldSkOoL - May 18, 2004 04:51 AM (GMT)
Yargh

In the episode 'The Beard' Jerry dates a female cop. She wants to get him on the lie detector because she thinks he is lieing about not watching this soapie?

Sweating Bullets - May 18, 2004 05:17 AM (GMT)
Melrose Place.

Pretty sure that's right....

OldSkOoL - May 18, 2004 05:20 AM (GMT)
Yargh Correct.

Sweating Bullets - May 18, 2004 05:27 AM (GMT)
What was the name of the phoney fund that George made up so we could swindle people out of their office Christmas gift?

Kaorikaze Chimi - May 18, 2004 05:58 AM (GMT)
The Human Fund?

Manny M - May 18, 2004 06:32 AM (GMT)
crap!

I woulda got those..but I actually had to do work...

More questions for us! NEXT!

Sweating Bullets - May 18, 2004 06:32 AM (GMT)
Correcto!

Machiavelli - May 20, 2004 03:08 AM (GMT)
A couple of questions regarding George's secret holiday - Festivus.

1.) what object is analagous to the christmas tree?

2.) what are the two major dinner-table traditions that the family must perform?

Sweating Bullets - May 20, 2004 03:34 AM (GMT)
2) The Airing of Grievances
The Feats of Strength

Dunno about 1) tho.
