I was actually going to ask to change the mod/admin badges because, to be perfectly blunt they were ugly. But now you have already gone and followed my advice, before I even suggested it! :blink:

But anyway, they still don't suit the style of the forums, I think maybe we should change them, maybe even have a comp to make the new ones. And also the title on the badges is also squashed and difficult to read, I am such a pain... :P

Yeah, I never really cared much for them either to be blunt - they were, as one Mod mentioned, an eyesore!

Tribal was working on some new ones for us, but he's busy at the moment so they're on hold. Civic quickly shrunk the old ones down so we could have something a little less "Hey lookit, I'm a Mod!"

I'm all up for a competition if we can get enough people interested. We could have the community vote on the ones they like the most (*ducks poll haters*). You interested in running it MetalliX?

WOOOOO YEAH!!!! Those character badges rock!! I'm not so sure about the Nintendo characters though...Is it possible to have a different badge for each Mod? Sounds like a lotta work, but if you don't mind implementing it then I won't complain. ;) Member badges I'm not sure of. If us few Mods can't decide on a single character/color, how will the entire Evolution population do so? :P

The only reason I don't think member badges are a good idea is because with so many more members, they could be quite distracting..even garish...yes garish!!

We could have one different badge per Mod but it would take a lot of effort and, to be honest, I think it would be completely going overboard. The badges are there so that people know who the Mods are at a glance and don't have to check the list if they have a question, not to complement your personal gaming tastes. Leave that to avatars, sigs and custom status'!

There's no way I'm having Tails under my name. Maybe if it was Knuckles :P.

I don't think members should have one under their name. We only want to disguish the Admin and Mods anyway.

However, it'd be nice if each mod had a badge relating to their respective forum, so for instance Gnomey might have a small film reel on his badge rather than a game character. Trin'd have someone along the lines of Jak or perhaps Daxter on his badge (these characters being the first flagship Sony characters to come to mind), Estapol'd have Mario, Fusioncloud would have simply a Gameboy etc. etc.

Member badges aren't a bad idea, but it makes the idea less 'special'.

e.g. Wakelin could have the Xbox "X". I could have the 3d "GC". Trin the 3d "P". Gnomey a Film Reel (like you said). tHe LiNk could have a mouse. FC a Hand....ok, I think I'll stop there! :P

Very good work Woody, I think they are a complete standout and the best I've ever seen on a forum. Would you be able to get rid of the dark grey above them and make up a couple for the other forums? Also, we need an Admin badge in the same style.

Evolution is officially the best forum I've ever been to. :)

Still missing a PC, Feedback, Handheld, and Retro.

I suggest a Mouse, Maybe a Little 'Evo' or a '?' for Feedback, A hand for Hand-held and for Retro maybe a NES or SMS.

They are seriously the best badges I've ever seen on any forum.
