Title: Franchise Showdown, Week 13:

As far as i'm concerned Max Payne has the jump on Hitman. Truly an impressive game, with a gripping storyline, looks, style, and most imortantly - fun gameplay. On the whole, Hitman is just about passable for me. I really feel as though the series has gone backwards since Silent Assassin.

Max is just that much cooler ;)

And haven't really played much of either game, however I did like what I did play of the two main Payne games.

Max Payne. Gotta love that bullet-time effect! That is, until we got sick of it :P The whole comic artwork just reminded me of Sin City too and the voice actors were impressive, even though Max Payne looked like he had a carrot shoved up his ass which explained the face

As much as I love Max Payne and Max Payne 2, Hitman Blood Money just took away so much time of my life, I love it to bits. There's no better game of last year, honestly. It was brilliant.

The end level alone! Jesus, what an ending!

Hitman has a little too much stealth for my taste but a really great game none the less. i liked it better than max payne, i just didn't enjoy the whole graphic novel thing going on.

Max Payne by far, the gameplay and storyline was leaps and bounds ahead of third person shooter of that time

Angra - February 1, 2007 11:33 PM (GMT)
Hitman = boring as fuck.

Hitman for me. Love the ragdoll effects.

Drake - February 4, 2007 04:52 AM (GMT)
Hehe ragdoll is so awesome, yep i gotta give it to hitman, i love "becoming" the hitman and doing it my way as in kill everything it sight! :D

Have you played Blood Money yet Mach? Very very good.

Anyway if it was consistency I was voting for it would go to the Hitman series.

Max Payne was a dreadfully average game... HOWEVER Max Payne 2 is an asbolute masterpiece that I have played to completion will over ten times.

My love of that particular game is so great that I give my vote to Sam Lake's embittered detective.

'We keep drivin' in to the night. It's a late a goodbye, such a late goodbye'

*Creepy... I had just typed the word night and my MP3 player (on shuffle) started playing Late Goodbye O_O

Scary stuff ElPrez; even though MP2 was an absolute rocker of a game, brilliant in every sense, Blood Money just offered me so much more. Never in my life have I spent about 60 hours on a single player game (recorded on Xfire alone, probably a lot more than that), but Blood Money just took chunks of my life away.

And Requiem! Hitman is just the better series for that one level; brilliantly and wonderfully executed ().

Blood money was a spectacular game... what to say?
I used to fail very often but in the end when I have gotten the hang of it it turned out to be a little easier than expected.
I love Hitman so... there goes.
