Title: A Room With A View
Description: What's outside your bedroom window?
Decman - January 21, 2007 06:08 PM (GMT)
Some have shown their faces, others their desktop and now, finally, you, honoured member of Evolution can show-off the stunning (or indeed not so stunning view) from your bedroom window. Of course, if the scenery from your bedroom window consists of neighbour's redbrick wall or communal cesspit, then by all means, pick a better spot.
Kudos to members that have views of alien motherships or hobo wrestling arenas. Until then, I depart, but I shall leave you with the vista that I behold on most days. Bear in mind it was getting dark when I took it (at about 5.00PM today) and it's winter over here:

The mountains aren't usually that clear, but because it's been pretty damn freezing and cloud-free today, they appear rather HD...well, not to the camera anyway.
Looking forward to seeing some Aussie and U.S. panoramas!

My neighbours house and the back deck/garage/pool. If you go upstairs, however, Brisbane is easy to see in all it's awesome glory.

I don't think you really need to see a photo of the fence and quite possibly the wheelie bins
Decman - January 22, 2007 08:43 PM (GMT)
I damn well do! :P
Fine, so, if people's views from their bedrooms are not so spectacular, then what about the local area? The town centre? o.O
borgster101 - January 23, 2007 12:57 AM (GMT)
Well here's the view from the front of my house, there's nothing special from my bedroom just neighbours houses :P

There's a pretty bad drought in Australia at the moment (Melbourne especially) hence notice the lack of green grass, its been all dried up.

That's from the back veranda. My room is downstairs and to the right(of the last photo).
Everything's starting to get a little greener cause we've had rain the past few weeks...but it's still damn dry. :(
_MetalliX_ - January 23, 2007 07:47 AM (GMT)

The first is the view from my computer and the second is the view from my room.
/backslash - January 23, 2007 10:26 AM (GMT)
Damn everybody's luxury views!
Well mine's better than anyone's anyway, have a gawk at THIS!
Angra - January 23, 2007 08:41 PM (GMT)
-insert Angra's primal scream here-
I hate all of you. Beautiful views. I'm so jealous.
Decman - January 23, 2007 09:23 PM (GMT)
Ooooo, you all have such spanking views! Borg, you pimp! :P
Hahah, Slashy, priceless! Nice view from the lounge though actually. Anyone wanna swap blue, cold, wet, mountains for a bit of outback? Anyone...?
And Angra, I'm sure your view is beautiful in its own special way. :D
borgster101 - January 23, 2007 10:19 PM (GMT)
 @ reactions (especially Angra's :P)
At least you have nice green grass Dec ;) We'd kill for some wet over here :(

K, I recently moved rooms in the house a little while ago.
This is the view from my old bedroom:

And this is what I have now:

Yep, great change as you can tell. :P

If you look closely you can also see someone's underwear hanging on the line :P Wow, what a view! And why can't builders make some invisible security grids? Makes everything look like a prison (especially my house)
You: "And here's my house!"
Friend: "That's not a house, it's a prison!"
You: "No it's not, I don't know what you're talking about"
Friend: "Well then why is there a security guard holding a shotgun posted at a tower?"
You: "That's umm...my Uncle Bob, he's insane so he has to live isolated and up in high places"
Friend: "Well what about that pack of wolves over there with razor sharp teeth?"
You: "Halloween decorations"
Friend: "And the moat filled with weird green stuff that looks like radioactive waste?"
You: "My mum's got a bad case of Hayfever so we had to dig a trench"

Agreed, keep it up slashy :D
Oh and you'll find new houses dont even have those security doors anymore. Only flyscreen doors without the prison bar look ;)

As soon as you said the words 'comic strip' I slapped myself on the head. Could've quite easily been made into an Evo comic yet I didn't think about it *sighs*
Glad you guys enjoy reading my posts irregardless :D Almost makes up for it
Inquisitor - January 24, 2007 11:14 AM (GMT)
Oi nah, that dodgy view from my bedroom window of the crappy house next door is because our house is the only good one in the street. Next door, outside my window, is just a crappy small double split house thing.
Seriously, our house is the only good one. It's 5 bedrooms. Got a massive inground pool out the back too.
Decman - January 28, 2007 06:38 PM (GMT)
I took this photo from one of the back windows at about 2PM today. Rolling field after rolling field after rolling......

Despite my prison-like environment I actually like it better compared to
'The Field of Great Depression' :P
Just for a bit of variety, here's the front view from my aunty's house who lives a couple of streets away:
NismoR34 - January 29, 2007 06:00 PM (GMT)
Man I really need to get off my arse and take some pictures. I've got to take a more recent photo of myself, of my setup as it is today and now the view from outside my bedroom.
Decman - January 29, 2007 09:16 PM (GMT)
Ha, nice view there Slashy! But you see, you must understand my yearning for a little sun at least...over here 'sun' is defined as 'a thirty-minute period when the sky is not 75% overcast'.
Yes, Nismo you lazy sod! :P Post pictures. The member-gallery was lost to some retarded page number (thanks, n00bs!) and it needs nuturing. :D

I don't think you quite understand. Now, excuse me, but if I wanted this topic vomited over, I would've asked.
Texta - February 9, 2007 10:13 AM (GMT)

And the front door:
Decman - February 9, 2007 11:52 AM (GMT)
Wow, you've got a bit of a rainforest around your house, Texta! Is that tree in the first pic growing into your house?! I really like the view from your front door, nice little garden you have there.

Actually I think the branch is just nestling under his little mini-roof shelter and because he has such a clean window/door it looks as though it's seeping in (I'm not even sure what I'm looking at since the hinge seems to be broken)
I hope you've got some frontyard stairs that aren't visible in the photo Texta because it looks like a pretty big drop :D Especially for old people
bolex17 - February 9, 2007 10:35 PM (GMT)
*reserved for pictures later*
I got nothing really, just rose bush.. Child train set and a Powered By ADT sign.
Texta - February 11, 2007 04:24 AM (GMT)
Yeah there's a few more steps there than you can see. I'll post a pics from the other direction in a while.
The bush you can see in the first photo is actually the same one you can see on the left in the second, so there's actually a good metre and a half between it and the window.
That "hinge" is actually on the side the window opens and is there to prop the window open.
FreakTrigger - February 12, 2007 01:33 AM (GMT)
A colourbond fence and about 6 inches of sky.
Tiny suburban plot.
Lay Me Down - March 2, 2007 09:23 PM (GMT)
The house across the street, the street, down the neighbor's street, and our driveway, I need to actually use my camera at some point and time.
.44caliber - March 20, 2007 02:31 AM (GMT)
Whats outside my bedroom you ask? My backyard...filled with dog crap and flooding because of the melting snow.
Damn saskatchewan.
Who created this damn province anyways?
They should magically blow up.
zsa-zsa tofu - April 13, 2007 06:03 AM (GMT)
I wish my phone wasn't dead, but it is. :D. I would take a picture. But I'll describe~
It's uhm...
A garage....
And that's it. And my garden, which is pretty cool. :3
Quatters - April 16, 2007 07:17 AM (GMT)
Sky!
Sort of, there's our driveway then the neighbours house which isn't too tall so I get sun in my room all day long!
Fantastic!

Is that sarcasm because I hate the fact I get so much sun in my room, it gets so hot and makes it hard to sleep in.
chi*skittles - May 15, 2007 06:21 AM (GMT)
I live in the garage... There are no windows DX But outside is my car and the trash cans X3
Decman - May 15, 2007 08:43 PM (GMT)
