My favorite? The ever popular Miyavi.
Music is amazing, you know?
You don't have to understand it to love it. I don't speak japanese, but man i never get sick of listening to Miyavi

I find the beat of Jpop/Jrock gets you in high spirits.
It reminded me of little kid show titles when I heard them first.

I disagree.

Most good Jrock does not put you in high spirits. Jpop, yes. However, Jpop is also so obnoxious it makes me want to pull out my hair.
I'm a Dir en grey girl myself, I've never liked Miyavi.

O! Je-poppu ga totemo ii desu! Sore wa saiko desu...HAPPA-TAI ICHI-BAN! Ima, seppuku shimasho.
Ahem, yes, excuse my Japanese ramblings. I can't say I'm a leading authority on J-pop or J-rock for that matter, but if you haven't heard Happa-tai's (or Greenleaves') 'Yatta', you have not lived. Most J-rock is...erm...odd. Too emo-y/nonsensical/slightly scary, if you get me? Not surprising when lots of hardcore J-rock followers in Japan dress like Edwardian aristocrats.
Ja mata nubu!

I swear to God, Decman, you're a great guy but if you EVER use fanglish in my presence again I'll do something to you involving cod liver oil, feathers, and a very depraved walrus.
You can ask Nags how much I hate fanglish :P
Decman - January 12, 2007 09:27 PM (GMT)
Oooo, walrus, my favourite!
I am dishonoured and I must commit seppuku. Faningurishu ga warui desu. :P
Nags, as soon as you return from your knee-popping escapades, you must divulge as to how much your spouse hates fanglish.
And for the love of all shinobi-no-mono, shorten my name to Dec. :D I sound like some sort of superhero otherwise. Man, I've gotta change my alias one day...Maybe...

I've never been a huge Jrock fan, however I will attest that Guitar Wolf are without doubt the greatest band ever to walk the earth.
Possibly even the greatest human beings.
