Now this is something which is going to means something more to the aussies here then anyone else, but this is a big event when it happens each year.

As to this years H100, it looks like Triple J have done away with everything but the online voting from the looks of what is on the site.

So then, who will be voting and what for?

Robert - January 3, 2007 08:18 AM (GMT)
Black finger nails, red wine, i wanna make you,,, all mine.

NismoR34 - January 5, 2007 06:34 PM (GMT)
Lily Allen has to be high on the list. If she isn't, I'll cry.

Or not. But anyway. More in-depth thoughts when I'm not tired.

BrotherEstapol - January 6, 2007 05:25 AM (GMT)
My votes went to Gotye, Tool, The Infadels, The Killers, The Presets, Razorlight, Thom York, We Are Scientists, REd Hot Chili Peppers, Sarah Blasko, The Rapture, The Knife, Faithless.

Yeah I can't remember who else, but lets just say I had to use 3 email accounts to get votes in for all the songs I liked. :P

D43M0N - January 6, 2007 09:48 AM (GMT)
Muse, Muse, Muse, Muse, Tool, Muse, Muse, The Knife, Muse, The Killers.

Qubert - January 6, 2007 09:56 AM (GMT)
Mew - The Zookeeper's Boy

Squato - January 21, 2007 03:38 AM (GMT)
Normally I don't bump a thread, but it closes at midnight if you haven't voted.

D43M0N - January 21, 2007 06:11 AM (GMT)
Bring on the Aussie Day listening!

quartz_donkey - January 21, 2007 07:15 AM (GMT)
Yay voted, it's a good list to maybe catch some songs you may have missed the past year.

BrotherEstapol - January 22, 2007 04:16 AM (GMT)
Which song do you guys think'll get number this year?

I can't really think of any standout tracks aside from maybe Gnarles Barkley - Crazy.
Which funnily enough, I didn't vote for!(dispite rather liking it :P)

D43M0N - January 22, 2007 08:11 AM (GMT)
Since the consumer raping of the list last year (Bernard Fanning my arse, that song sucked compared to half the list), I'd be betting on that stupid Greys Anatomy song to win.

BrotherEstapol - January 22, 2007 11:59 AM (GMT)
It was pretty obvious from previous years that the majority of triple j listeners are powderfinger fans, so when Bernard released his album, it was always going to be a sure-fire hit...plus the thing was in constant rotation, so you couldn't escape it.
Also didn't help that(like usual) the network stations picked up the album once triple j had "tested the waters" so to speak.

Squato - January 22, 2007 07:51 PM (GMT)
Well it will be a rare year this year since they have nothing out and none of his songs got that much airtime.

Still, it will be funny if something like the U2 thing from a few years back happens again (when a song from U2 that had never been played on JJJ was number 32).

D43M0N - January 25, 2007 10:55 PM (GMT)
5 minutes guys; thanks to JTV, it's streaming video this year, so you get to watch the BDO Sydney AND listen to the top 100.

Awesome.

What the fuck, Aguie March

BrotherEstapol - January 26, 2007 01:32 PM (GMT)
I know.
Quite dissapointed in the top 10 this year...

NismoR34 - January 26, 2007 07:06 PM (GMT)
^ Yep, I agree with that. Some of those songs on the list definitely needed to be higher than what they were.

Anyway.

Ditto.

Great to see Audioslave just slide in at the beginning, I actually cracked my first beer of the day to it. :P

scenebullets - February 4, 2007 02:59 AM (GMT)
those were the songs on the charts?!
are you serious?
man half those songs like seriously suck
atleast in my opinion they do
but you know opinions are opinions

BrotherEstapol - February 4, 2007 08:01 AM (GMT)
The vast majority of those songs were NOT on the charts(which also makes them good) due to Triple J being a non-commercial Australian radio station.

How do you even know if those songs are good without even knowing half of them?(most are Australian artists)

Squato - February 8, 2007 03:13 PM (GMT)
Because facts can only get in the way.

sunao-kun16 - February 13, 2007 02:41 PM (GMT)
You just have to listen to the songs. I think that most are pretty cool!

Squato - February 15, 2007 08:24 PM (GMT)
