This is a interesting site that appears to be in italian, dont let that get in your way though, they are screenshots of games before they were released, and some of these are real shockers... especially ocarina of time. I recommend you all take a look.

Some of those pics are of games that ended up on GameCube, like Eternal Darkness and Dinosaur Planet (Starfox Adventures), I think I would have preferred it to actually remain as Dinosaur Planet, without Fox in it - I would have liked to see it as it's on intellectual property... Now I kind of want to play Starfox Adventures, though, too bad I traded it in (I was stuck and didn't want to play it anymore :P)... When that game came out I played it for like seven hours straight :P

Also, I think that as a N64 game, Dinosaur Planet had really good graphics.

Additionally, I don't know how many people have noticed this, but on the Gamecube box there are some pictures of beta games; notably, there's a screenshot of Kameo: Elements of Power, which probably everyone would know ended up on XBox 360. There's also a pre-render of Donkey Kong Racing, which turned into vaporware when Rare left Nintendo, seeing as Nintendo own Donkey Kong, so the game couldn't be ported to Microsoft's console.

Also, Conker Twelve Tales was a game that I was really look forward to at the time; it turned into Conker's Bad Fur Day, which didn't appeal to me at the time because of the mature nature of the game... I was a kid and I liked (still do like) the bright colours of Twelve Tales :P

Also, Cubivore is a game that I never realised actually got released anywhere - I thought it was vaporware, but I just had a look and it was in fact released on the Cube (IGN gave it 6.7...). Just a tidbit that I didn't know.

Finally; 64 Wars was a game I never even knew existed - looks like it was the precursor to Advance Wars

That's all.

Yes i noticed quite a few rare games that came out on the Xbox now, and a few N64 games that were ported to GCN i was suprised at how good they looked for N64

This is more of a retro gaming discusion (i.e. N64 = retro console) so I've moved the thread :)

Haha, yay! We have discussion in the retro board!

A few interesting screens from Halo in there, back when it was an RTS.

OMG THERE'S A RETRO SECTION?

EDIT (and just to make this post a little less spammy)

woah I didn't even know that Banjo Threeie was originally being developed for Gamecube. If only Rare hadn't been bought out by Meekrosoft...

I wonder if any parts of it will be used in the 360 version.

Wow it's like the new halo wars RTS style
In every game it starts from the basics then more hightech.
