Title: Early 2007 Wii release dates
borgster101 - December 12, 2006 05:03 AM (GMT)
December 12th, 2006 Nintendo has confirmed via its website the release dates of two games for its recently released Wii console. Both these games were Wii launch titles in at least one region. Upcomming Wii games to look foward to in early 2007 include:
WarioWare Smooth Moves: 25th January 2007
Excite Truck: 22nd February 2007
Furthermore Atari has confirmed that it wont be releasing any Wii titles into Australia until March (pressumingly due to shortages), the first games coming from Atari are Elebits which will take advantage of WiiConnect24 and Dragonball Z: Tenkaichi 2.

good to hear those confirmed dates - I don't know why Excitetruck's so far away... I'm glad to hear that Wario Ware's in January, albeit late January - I asked the peeps at EB today and they said it might be as late as March, so good to hear it's coming out in January - I'll have about 4 days to play it before I go back to school too :P

Hopefully we'll get a more polished version of ExciteTruck, I heard it wasn't all that great with the american release due to some ugly visuals, annoying music; no online; multiplayer is limited & not much replay value. Of course I doubt they'd be able to fix ALL those problems but maybe some extended modes and remixed music wouldn't be asking for too much

We're talking about the same Nintendo of Australia, aren't we? :P

We got additional stuff in Ico and a couple of extra levels in Zone of Enders once upon a time

Aren't they Playstation games?

hmmm, I think it would only be fair for Nintendo to steal some ideas from Sony for a change... :P

Metroid Prime had a few subtle updates to the PAL release and that's a game on a Nintendo platform, so it is possible. ;)
But then again, those changes probably had to be made to justify the damn delay that we had with the game.

Yeah they did, so Nintendo has done things like this before ;)
Though I think the delayed release of Excite Truck is merely a means to spread out the releases of Wii games over the year.

Which is fair enough really, there was already enough to get at the launch anyway. Well in my books. Zelda, Rayman, Red Steel and Wii Play.
Possibly even Monkey Ball. So yeah I'm not too fussed that it won't be here until next year but I'm glad the date has been confirmed either way. Hopefully I'll have the Wii before it. :)

bah, I don't see the point of waiting to release games just to spread them out, but I don't feel like caring right now...
