Title: Franchise Showdown, Week 6:

When it comes to WWII shooters Call of Duty makes the best impression, for me anyway. CoD is an extraordinary gaming experience on all counts whereas Medal of Honor always left me with a one man army vibe which dampens the WWII immersion.

Haha, yeah, that's what I've noticed about MoH. ONE MAN is able to take down a whole Japanese aircraft carrier, or blow the crap out of a whole hotel full of Japanese/German soldiers. WTF?

I said Medal of Honor but in all truth I haven't played either games, I just wanted the poll to stop asking me :P

Isn't most of Infinity Ward(CoD developer) consisted of staff who originally worked on the 1st MoH?
Doesn't matter anyways, CoD 2 owns, so it gets my vote. ;)

I liked MoH up until Rising Sun. I'm sorry, but that was a really bad game. Like Ali G said, there's way too much gung-ho crap. CoD is the better series, far better, though I will acknowledge Allied Assault as pretty damn cool and Airborne may well turn out to be classy.

Haven't played a game from either franchise so I honestly can't say which I'd prefer. If it means anything though Call of Duty would be the franchise that has my interest, especially as I am considering purchasing both CoD 2 and 3 on the 360 sometime in the future.
We'll see though.

I've only played the MoH games on PlayStation, the CoD games on PC. I voted MoH just cos I really enjoyed and STILL remember the experience of MoH2 on PS, a truly awesome game with great atmosphere.
CoD is as good but I didn't have as much fun with it compared to MoH, most prolly cos I haven't spent much time with the game. One thing that impressed me in CoD was the sound! Man the sound is nice, with explosions and yelling allies surrounding you, this game is awesome with 5.1.
I think both franchises are strong, but I'm sure CoD is the new MoH. I still have to play more of CoD.

Call of Duty, I played a Medal of Honor on GCN cant remember which one, didnt really like it. But COD is the best example of WWII shooters, it's just done right.

So why exactly are you voting? :P
Having played both, I choose COD as its the more polished of the 2, but MOH does have some good games in its series.

Medal of Honor for Omaha Beach (at the time), but it's now really dated and bad. Call of Duty wins out because of the Point Du Hoc assault in 2.

I didn't vote, actually. :P
Just posted because I could, or something. I can get away with a bit more now that you're all distracted with your Wiis, you know? :P
Okay maybe not. I'll stop now.

Return to Castle Wolfenstein =D my personal favorite WW2 game

Overhyped WW2 Game with One New Thing
vs
More Overhyped WW2 Game with No New Things
Neither. If one more WW2 game comes out where the selling point is "BUT WAIT GUYZ WE GOT 1 NEW WEPON" I swear I'm going to light myself on fire.
