I heard about this on one of those morning shows, I think it was more along the lines of teaching the kid a lesson, but apparently he was charged for petty larsony (or something) which is pretty harsh.

If you read the full article, you'll find out that he's got some sort of behavioural disorder. Still, its pretty retarded to call the police. He obviously needs treatment, not scare tactics.
