Title: Animal Crossing Trading Thread
Description: Come here to swap your goodies!
fishonthecarpet - May 8, 2004 06:08 AM (GMT)
'nuff said.
I'm looking for any NES games but Tennis. I'm also looking for musical instruments (I have the Harpsichord, Cello and big drum thing.)
I can make a list of what I have to trade, if you like.
Oh, I also collect Nintendo Memorabilia.
quartz_donkey - May 8, 2004 06:17 AM (GMT)
I think it would be best to make a list of the stuff on offer mate more people will respond I think. Like I might have some of waht you want for example I have Muscial instruments that may be on offer.
TrinityJayOne - May 18, 2004 02:02 PM (GMT)
I have the vibraphone if you want it. I'll trade it for something from the cabin set, preferably a bed or a table.
jawbreaker982 - May 19, 2004 03:20 AM (GMT)
I have all the instruments except for the bass, and I have all the nintendo memorabilia that is tradeable. I also have about 8 NES games that aren't tennis and that can be traded. ;)
Perhaps we could do with this trading thread what we did back on the hyper one. Once a week or so, someone (say me) posts a list of what we are trading, be it a furniture set or a theme such as musical instruments. Next to each item you mark whether or not you have it, and once we combine the lists hopefully we will have everything between us. Then it is just a matter of trading.
What do people think?
fishonthecarpet - May 19, 2004 10:21 AM (GMT)
Hmmm, sounds good.
I don't think I will have anything anyone wants to trade, though...
EVERY INSTRUMENT!?!? How many?
8 NES GAMES?!?!? (I'm sick of tennis, it's the only physical NES game I actually have, so the first one I find on AC is typically... Tennis).
I'm still trying to get a bigger house. How many upgrades till I get a basement and attic?

Hmmm, I'm quite eager for Soccer, Pinball and Golf. And that rock guitar sounds irresistable...
I'll put up a list of my stuff soon (when i get off my ass and go to my gcn)
Dakwota - June 15, 2004 09:35 PM (GMT)
how can you 'trade' in animal crossing. It's on the Gamecube?
borgster101 - June 16, 2004 03:58 AM (GMT)
The game includes a "code system" where you enter the persons name and town name with the item you wish to trade.
When you enter the information of the person you want to trade with, the game will present you with a "unique code" that can only be used by that person, so when codes are posted on the forum no one can use them except for the person who agreed to trade, it's a pretty clever idea and works well.
Dakwota - June 16, 2004 07:38 AM (GMT)
but does'nt that mean that the GCube has to connect with the net?
I still don't understand?
cd2 - June 16, 2004 10:44 PM (GMT)
No the game Cube does not connect to the net.
Like borgster said you talk to someone by Phone, Net or in person that wants to trade something. Then in game you take the agreed item to nook and ask him to turn that item into a 14 digit code. Then you write that code down onto a bit of paper and then give it to your friend. Then they enter the code into the game at nooks and then an item magiclly appears in there game.
~DC - June 17, 2004 01:34 AM (GMT)
Ulitmately all the items are pre-loaded on each game disc but it requires different codes to successfully unlock them for use.
Dakwota - June 17, 2004 05:45 AM (GMT)
so if i post a number like 12345678901011 could everyone just put it into their gcube game and get that item?
Pauly - June 17, 2004 06:22 AM (GMT)
No because everyone has different Town and Character names. Hypothetically if we all used the same Username and Town name then yes.
Dakwota - June 17, 2004 10:00 AM (GMT)
My friend described this to me tonight.
I finally understand.
Can't wait to get this game!!!
borgster101 - June 17, 2004 11:50 PM (GMT)
Glad to see you understand it Dakwota ;) . Basically it's Nintendo's way of "getting around" the whole online gaming concept,

Don't, it's shit house.
Pauly - June 21, 2004 05:28 AM (GMT)
Basically, if you're thinking about getting a DS, buy it on that. IMO it's not suited for the Cube. Gets boring pretty quickly.

For an individual such as yourself, anyhow
jawbreaker982 - June 27, 2004 01:03 AM (GMT)
Well, after about 8 months of playing basically every day, I have finally kicked the Animal Crossing bug. I am over it. Completely.
Pretty good bang for your buck though ;)
By the way, if anyone is interested in acquiring this game, perhaps we could work out a trade...
*runs off to the market forum*

:(
I hope I never get to that stage! Sad to see you leave town
