Just like those emails from banks asking you to fill out forms containing personal information when banks actually never ever send you emails regarding private matters. Some people fill them out, others are more wise.

Seriously, I wish these scam artists would die. I've already had my credit card number used in a country I've never been in and couldn't get my money back despite paying for an investigation.

D43M0N - October 31, 2006 02:21 AM (GMT)
Seen this before, I lol'd.

borgster101 - October 31, 2006 02:56 AM (GMT)
 Funny Sh!t! Silly kid gets PWNED!

As slashy said just like those emails from hackers posing as banks to get your details, though in the banks policy it will state they will never ask for your details via email. It's known as "phishing".

_MetalliX_ - October 31, 2006 03:27 AM (GMT)
It's good to see one of those punk kids get done over the net. They can hide behind their anonymity but not their stupidity.

Nags - October 31, 2006 05:19 AM (GMT)

I seriously don't get it. What does Valve have to do with Steam? Besides the fact valves can stop steam escaping...

Steam is a content delivery tool from Valve Software.

Valve is the developer of the Half Life games on PC, they have a content deliver service which is called Steam. It pretty much started off with Half Life 2, where you are required to have a Steam account to play the game. This account is protected by a username and password, if someone were to hack into it they could prevent you from signing in and thus prevent you from playing your games :P

Oh now I get it.

Sounds good, is it only Half Life 2 that Steam uses or can you have other games like Battlefield 2 running on it?

Now I get it. That's annoying though. Having half your computer games running of this program and others that don't. Also do you need it runing to load up your games?

borgster101 - October 31, 2006 07:39 AM (GMT)
I don't mind Steam, though some people hate it, but if you want to play Half Life 2 you dont have a choice, at first not many games were on Steam, but more 3rd parties are starting to support the system, Ubisoft and Activision have signed up for instance, with for example Call of Duty 2 now available through Steam.

And yeah you need to be signed into Steam to load up and play your games

I'm thinking of getting a few new computer games soon anyway...I'll probabky only get a year out of them before my macbook comes.

Decman - October 31, 2006 03:48 PM (GMT)
Admittedly that was rather funny, but it's quite sickening to see stuff like that going on. But lol, that kid got pwned hard. If you read on into the original topic, you'll see that br0kenrabbit gave him his account details back. That's good. Like he says "his stupidity was punishment enough". Talk about being hoisted by your own petard.

"Greg."
"What?"
"Go mow some lawns, bitch."

That line made me laugh so hard...

Squato - October 31, 2006 06:49 PM (GMT)
I love how many places have linked this.

Hell, it has even been shown in a newspaper.
