Title: The Bourne Supremacy
Description: New trailer!

Howdy, fellas!
We finally get to see a
trailer for The Bourne Supremacy!
I thought the first film was great because it kept the integrity of the books (which for me, is enough for adaptations to turn out good - the only thing remaining is whether the film is done well or not). I still don't think Matt Damon was the best option for Jason Bourne (Keifer Sutherland would've been perfect), but I love it all the same. This sequel looks set to continue that. :D
Watch, enjoy, discuss!

I thought the first one was very forgettable. Sadly, to me, the second just seems more of the same. Though the trailer looks cool, I think I'll give this one a miss.

Damn dial up hows it look whos involved. Liked the first one alot the Hollywood aftertaste was not so bitter prob cause it used non-yank crews and so forth so yeah can they do that agin or what.

Are you mad? :P
I thought the first one was brilliant, sure Bourne was a bit younger than what he was in the book, but it still worked.
I'm reading through The Bourne Identity now, so I'm pretty excited for this sequel.

Very good, one of my favourite crime/spy novels and I haven't even finished. Apparently completely different to the film interpretation though.

The film and the book are very different, thanks to some very clever modernisation. Unlike say, A Sum of All Fears (g'bye terrorists, hello neo Nazis!), the film retains much of what makes the book great. See, the book uses the Vietnam War as the jumping board for all the crazy shit that happens. The film can't because it's set in our time and despite this, the adaptation is still very convincing (unlike the neo Nazi change in the Clancy conversion).
The only crucial thing missing was the love between Jason and Marie, which in the film was no more than a fling. However, even this is addressed by Doug Liman (director of the first, not returning in the second, but his replacement is no worse than he is - in fact, his style seems much the same). He says that the ending to the first film, although cheesy, establishes the fact that Jason Bourne wants to settle down and live with Marie for the rest of his life, thus turning that fling into something more meaningful.
But yeah, everything you like about the books is in the films. They're both brilliant in their own way.
