Well, I just watched this, and I must say, IT WAS AMAZING. I don't see how people can put themselves through the things they do. Anyways, it was about 60,000 times better than the first, which was still pretty damn funny. I recommend this. Watch idiots almost kill themselves FTW

I fail to see the entertainment value. To me it's just a bunch of stupid guys doing stupidly dangerous things. A penpal bought me a DVD of Jackass's Stevo (without knowing I HATE that show) and after viewing it (I was compelled to watch it since it was a bday gift) I felt like throwing up.

Eating a possum that's been put on a BBQ? Using your butt as a dart board? Err...no thanks. If I want to watch something that brainwashes stupidity I'd rather watch an episode of 'Passions'

Whilst I am intrigued by people hurting themselves, I refuse to give them my money to see them do it.

Why do you think movies are created? For attention, and entertainment. Obviously people in a movie want attention so the movie can do really good and they can earn a good rep for themselves.That's why it is funny...if they were sitting around enjoying a cup of tea, it wouldn't be very enteraining.

Some of it is quite sickening, but it was the highest grossing film of 200..2? 3? I can't remember, but it made shitloads of cash, resulting in a high gross because it was so low budget. Made a higher gross than PotC2, even though PotC2 made $1Billion in ticket sales :P

Will see it, looks a fair bit better than number one.

I don't know where you got those numbers, but they are so far off it isn't funny.

Jackass made $75m profit.
Jackass 2 has made about $60m profit so far.
Dead Man's Chest has made $834m profit.

I fucking loved Jackass 2, but a lot of the stuff was just plain nasty and I wish there were more funny skits. Ask Nags - I was crestfallen when I didn't see any "Partyboy" pranks. Those are my FAVORITES.

Gross profit = profit made minus the production costs. Jackass was made for like $6 million, made $75? More than 10 times gross profit.

DMC was made for $200+ million? Only 4 times gross profit.


Edit - oh yeah, the movie wasn't too bad either. As a single view, it's worse than number 1, but watching with a group of friends, it produces a Snakes On A Plane effect.

You say "Profit minus the production costs", which is what the numbers I posted are.

Companies would rather spend $200m on a movie that makes them $1b, over a $10m that makes them $100m. $800m prfoit, is still $800m profit afterall.
