Who has this masterpiece of RPG/Strategy gaming?

I picked it up a few weeks ago, and have been hooked ever since. The way it blends Advance Wars style gameplay with the experience and levelling up system (as well as the class upgrades) is as addictive as MSG.

If you're a seasoned Advance wars player, the 10-chapter tutorial may hold your hand a little too much for your liking, but it does serve to set the background for the other campaigns, and is enjoyable nonetheless.

As qualms go, I can't stand the amount of dialogue sometimes. It's usually quite meaningful, but (particularly near the end) it comes in bucketloads. Setting the text scrolling to Max is a must to save your sanity, and your battery life.

Currently, I'm nearing the end of Hector's campaign, though checking my readings, there seems to be one swordfighter I have not recruited yet. o_O
All in all, I'm enjoying the amount of depth this game provides (I have a 94% completion in the story, but a 2% completion in support).

An unholy amount of replay value. Definately try it out.

It's awesome- I got up to chapter 24-26 before I went to FFTA, but Tactics is not as good. I still play it though. The only thing it lacks is a decent multiplayer!

I just bought it for a sweet $39 and i must say so far it's one of the best GBA games so far, it's like an alternative to Advance Wars if you prefer Swords over guns and tanks. I love it!

I have The Sacred Stones. Alright game. I beat it following Erika's quest and it had an overall nice feel to the game. Trading it for Pokemon Emerald thou, which IMO is much better.

Who do you think is the best character on pure stats/supports alone in Fire Emblem? Ignoring everything else. This is at 20/20, average stats. I'm thinking Ephraim/Farina at the top with supports. Ephraim wins thanks to his higher con IMO, but It's very close other than that.

I beat the game by using mainly "Seth". Jesus, that guy was like a tank... And I liked it.

Drake: On one playthough in Sacred Stones, I managed to (somehow) max every single one of L'Arachel's stats (Valkyrie) except for Defense. However, she has to be your main healer for a long time before she starts kicking arse. Nevertheless, she's my choice.

I'd agree that Farina is one of the best among the GBA Fire Emblem games, as well as Ross and Lute in Sacred Stones (Beserker/Sage). In Path of Radiance, the honor goes to Nephenee/Ike (Maxes Defense at 28? Yes please.).

Yeah, I'm totally pumped for the upcoming Wii game. :D

Well, they did release Path of Radiance here, so I don't see why they wouldn't, considering it's one of their flagship second-party titles.

Also, I wonder what the magic system is like. The last few games they've chopped and changed the magic system heaps (Valkyries used to use Anima and Staves in FE7, Light and Staves in FE8, then Swords and Staves in FE9?!), not to mention making the Anima magics part of their own weapon triangle.

Of course Fire Emblem Wii will come out here, it's just a question of when really ...

I think there are some changes to the magic system in the Wii game, not sure of the details though..

How could they release Fire Emblem with the ending it has and not translate the one with Roy? >_<

Yeah it's a weird decision. Given that Roy was in Smash Bros, you'd think the local releases would have started from the game before GBA Fire Emblem, the first FE game we got is actually a prequel!

The very end of the Epilogue just blew my mind.

Pity I no longer have a GBA as I hate the GBA cart sticking out the bottom of my DSL.

Well i have a GBA and ofcourse Fire Emblem practicly dominates it... So i do have it, i dont get much joy out of it though.
