Title: Pick Angra's Halloween costume!
Description: You heard me.

Angra - October 19, 2006 02:16 AM (GMT)
Your thoughts?

Pyramid Head was one of my favorite video game characters EVER. Seriously. He intrigued me a lot when I played Silent Hill 2. Only problem - the costume would be so hard to make.

I just love Sniper Wolf.

Heather's costume would be easy, and she was the most likeable Silent Hill protagonist ((in my opinion)).

Pick, suggest, give tips for making the costumes.

Pyramid Head would be the only character which people would actually recognise if you dressed up as, it may not be so obvious with the other two. But walking around with a massive pyramid on your head all night may not be the greatest idea.

Heather would probably be your best bet in regards to making the costume and wearing it comfortably.

As much as Sniper Wolf is teh hotness, Pyramid Head just reeks of awesomeness.

You just need a dummy dipped in corn syrup to drag around with you.

Random Hero - October 19, 2006 06:38 AM (GMT)
Sniper wolf and post pics before you go

borgster101 - October 19, 2006 06:42 AM (GMT)
Sniper Wolf ;)

quartz_donkey - October 19, 2006 08:13 AM (GMT)
Pyramid Head for certain, that would be so awsome, as to making it I have no idea but good luck.

And after viewing the bonus features from the Silent Hill movie, I discovered that the Pyramid helmet only weights 12 pounds (about 6kg!). Also, the actor could only look down, there were no peepholes in order to make it look more realistic, or the term "blind as a bat" and get laughed at by other people when you walk into a lamp post

For tips if you're going as Heather from SH3, you could use some kind of fake blood to drench yourself in. Oh, and borrow one of those movie-like fog machines to add the Silent Hill atmosphere :P
Angra: *knock knock* "Trick or Treat!"
Lady: *opens door* "Cough, cough! Who's there? I can't see anything! It's too foggy!"
Angra: *steals entire basket of lollies* "Ha-ha! Seeya sucker!"
*then Angra proceeds to the next house to proceed with the same process leaving a trail of fog behind*

Sniper Wolf would be awesome too but stay far away from the strip clubs

Neo.Sanity - October 19, 2006 12:04 PM (GMT)
Trick or treat checklist:

-Gasmask
-Army Trenchcoat
-Army Officer Hat
-Army boots
- Fake army medals to put on inner army jackt (if you get the chance to take it off
-paintball gun
-army jacket (to put badges/medals/ribbons on)

I'll be a grand evening I assure you!

quartz_donkey - October 19, 2006 12:09 PM (GMT)
Cheap easy smoke bomb:
  • Buy ping pong balls
  • Cut ping pong ball in half
  • cut one half of the ping pong ball into little slivers
  • place slivers into intact half
  • tape close ping pong ball
  • Light one end lit burn for short while then blow out
  • Throw and watch it smoke quite a lot too

Decman - October 19, 2006 08:13 PM (GMT)
GO NAAAAAAKED! Ahem, I jest. Yes, Sniper Wolf is better. And post pictures. 私は ちかん です。

NismoR34 - October 20, 2006 05:38 PM (GMT)
Sniper Wolf.

No contest.

Pics or GTFO too. :P

Angra - October 20, 2006 11:09 PM (GMT)
Heh, thanks for the input, but I do believe I'm going as Heather. I just chopped all of my hair off to match hers, even.

And I'm definetly not going as her because of Backslash's idea....

borgster101 - October 21, 2006 04:59 AM (GMT)
The poll is at a three way tie, so I'm not sure if it was much help :P

Sniper Wolf. Don't forget your hanky ok?

Decman - October 21, 2006 11:37 AM (GMT)
You cut your hair just to look like Heather, for one evening?! Damn. :argh:

Angra - October 21, 2006 02:26 PM (GMT)
Well, I did need a haircut...BADLY. It'll grow back anyway!

And it looks fantastic - it's so much better than having really long hair. Except, when I went to brush it this morning, I kept using way too much force and like, falling over.

And the poll was so much help <_<

Nags - October 21, 2006 02:40 PM (GMT)
haha i can picture you doing that.

and your hair does look great, nothing wrong with putting alot of effort into a costume

Decman - October 21, 2006 05:46 PM (GMT)
Lol, you fell over brushing your hair. I've heard it all now. Well, actually I haven't. PICTURES, ANGRA, PICTURES!

Spoil-sport. :P ;)

Angra - October 21, 2006 08:12 PM (GMT)
I don't see anyone else posting pictures of themselves.

If my boyfriend gives the okay, I might post a picture of me in my costume.

Then again, I probably won't xD

Decman - October 21, 2006 08:22 PM (GMT)
Aha! You give me new idea for topic! Much obliged.

Yeah we had a thread of pictures of many members somewhere, but it's been a while since people have contributed so it's probably gone into the depths of the archived Off Topic threads :P

With that said, I think people are keen to see a picture of you in the costume because you got us involved in its selection ;) , but of course it is up to you if you want to post pics, don't feel pressured either way :)

D43M0N - October 22, 2006 03:29 AM (GMT)
Haha, Dave_Cool saw my costume for a Halloween party type thingy, but not in full.

I'll put some piccies up later.

I'm surprised so many people still dress-up for Halloween. I guess it's a big thang over in the States. Here in Europe, it's almost exclusive for the kiddies. I've only been twice: once as Darth Maul, and then later as the Grim Reaper. :P

Nice costume D43MON. Just don't go butchering people who don't give you sweets.

borgster101 - October 22, 2006 11:52 AM (GMT)
Yeah Halloween isn't all that big here in Australia either, it seems to be some massive holiday in the US but I dont think it's as big anywhere else.

_MetalliX_ - October 22, 2006 11:56 AM (GMT)
We were caught off guard when we had tricker-treaters on our doorstep, I think we gave them some chewing gum we had lying around or something.

Decman - October 22, 2006 12:37 PM (GMT)
I have an aunt and uncle who live over in California. They told me that some people are really die-hard about it. Someone had put tombstones and coffins in their garden. A little extreme don't you think?

Ugh, I hate trick-or-treaters. I'll be waiting with my imaginary shotgun.

Angra - October 22, 2006 11:35 PM (GMT)
How do you guys not love Halloween?! Maybe because I still have the mentality of a child but, I love dressing up and getting candy. Come on, don't you love candy?

Oh, and I just had a brilliant idea. I should dress up as either Heather or Joanna Dark.

Giggity :D

D43M0N - October 23, 2006 01:10 AM (GMT)
That wasn't for Halloween per se, just a party for someones birthday with a Halloween motif.

What a wierd word: motif. I must use it more often.

Well it's not that we dont "like it", it's just that the event is not "celeberated" in other countries, we only know about it because of American TV shows I guess :P

dave_cool31 - October 23, 2006 07:04 AM (GMT)
indeed, and props to slashy for reviving teh comics thread

Yeah, Halloween is an American Holiday...it's just not big down here. Doesn't help that it's Spring down here, not Autumn, so it's hotter and the atmosphere doesn't lend itself to Halloween very much.

Decman - October 23, 2006 08:40 PM (GMT)
Well, Halloween in Europe usually only involves children from 3-13 (at most), and it would be odd to see someone older than that running around asking for sweets, apart from the occasional parent. But yeah, in Europe and the Oz, it's nowhere near as commercialised.

Nags - October 24, 2006 12:38 AM (GMT)
After the age of 13 people usually goto parties instead of going around for candy.... Unless your me

i just decided my costume is gonig to be the box from metal gear

Well they may not necessarily forget the candy altogether, it could just be differently defined candy... ;)

Nags - October 31, 2006 04:36 PM (GMT)
Its that magical day WOOOOOO! im having a party tonight, me and angra will fill you guys on the best costumes we saw, (always a good laugh)

/backslash - October 31, 2006 04:39 PM (GMT)
I was out with a co-worker tonight at the cinemas so I don't know if I had any potential door-knockers in costumes. At least there's no toilet paper in the trees
