Do you guys have a Internet Game section? They are alot of fun and boost post counts as well at Site Stats. You know what I mean right?
EX:
o Post about the person about you thread!
o Ban Game!
o Diss the person above you thread!
ect.

I don't see why having a section for this is neccessary at all, and if you look at the threads in Off Topic or General gaming you may find what you are looking for, although post counts are really meaningless, and if you are only posting for the sake of your count, I'd rather you not post at all.

Seems kinda boring and basically sounds like a cheap excuse to spam. Post counts are hardly important in this forum

Yeah its about the quality of your posts and not the quantity, ignore my post count :whistling:

Have a look at Estapol's post count for example. He's been an admin for over 2 years and still hasn't reached a post count of '1+'

That was set at -100 000 in the first place right?

Yeah whats with that, it seems kinda weird for a staff member to be messing around like that

It's just a joke to indicate that post counts dont really matter around here :)

Um, that hurts. I dont post forp post counts. If anything, I do it for the quilaity. I try my best to make my posts meaningful, no sentance fragments, pretty much correct grammer, and I try to make them at least 2 sentances long. :cheese:
Another thing they could do is attrached SOME new people because people tend to go to forums and ALWAYS see these types of games and people seem to enjoy them most of the time. Just was a thought. <_<

But the question with that is, do we want those type of users who enjoy the more laid back (or indeed casual spam) threads? Would it be a good thing or a bad thing to have these users? I personally don't think it would be a good thing at all because eventually the spam would increase into the other threads and make the forum a little more messy than it needs to be. But anyway.

Hmm, there's always the idea of making a spam board for things like these, and just setting the forum up so that posting in that board doesn't add to your postcount. ^^
And really, it doesn't attract people that just like to chat, etc. It's just a place for when the users are bored.
NismoR34 - October 6, 2006 04:06 PM (GMT)
Yes and I can understand that, but, surely there are much better things to be doing than spamming a forum (even if it's a spam only one)? I mean seriously. Let's hypothetically say that the user joined because he/she likes gaming and likes to discuss gaming. They have finished reading the good discussion in the proper forums and now has nothing to do with his/her time. Surely playing games to get rid of the boredom would be a better option than posting random shit for the sake of posting it?
I dunno, I just can't see how spamming can be considered fun.

Yes I must agree with Evo Staff.
I don't add these games myself to my forums, but I don't restrict them or close them if someone creates topics like this.
The only thing that this really does is create a whole bunch of 'posts' (if you can even call it that) that bulk up your forum with crap.
The only thing I do is move them to the appropriate topic if necessary. Don't copy other forums just to be like them, that's just novice. Be creative and different.
