Bethesda's award-winning RPG is coming to Sony's new console.

It's now official: The PlayStation 3 will be getting its own version of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Not only that, but the popular role-playing game will also be a launch title.

The PS3 version of Oblivion includes some brand new content. According to an article printed in the November issue of the Official PlayStation Magazine, PS3 owners will be introduced to a new faction called Knights of the Nine. These guys are the counterforce to the Assassin's Guild known as the Dark Brotherhood. New locations, characters, armor and weapons are also included in this PS3 port

Good news for those of you who don't have a PC capable of producing anything more than 1 pixel (a little exaggerated for emphasis) or those who avoided the X360. But now there seems to be a long line of titles claiming they were going to be exclusive and then change their minds for some quick cash

Oblivion was never exclusive to the 360, ever since it was first announced, Bethesda said that it would appear on all the machines that could handle it.

I wonder if the PS3 version will look the same as the 360 version, or closer to the PC version.

Didn't know that, I thought it was originally PC exclusive but I never read any sources behind the project itself

Yeah, if you can find the Game Informer cover from around November 2004, it's got PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Took them long enough to "offically" announce the PS3 version though.

I wonder how sexy it's gonna look. Any screens released?

No screens as yet but it'll look pretty much the same as the X360 and PC versions. I doubt you'd be able to tell the difference :P
