Title: Atari Paddle TV Games

Coming this summer is the continuation of Jakks Pacific's series of Atari TV Games' units: the Atari Paddle TV Games. Like the Atari TV Games joystick released two years ago, the Atari Paddle TV Games will mimic the paddles released with the original Atari 2600 system and include several paddle-based classics built into the device. Gamers simply plug it directly into the televison to experience the old-school games.
Several games that used the paddle were included in the original Atari TV Games Joystick, but because the controller couldn't accurately portray the analog control of a paddle they weren't well represented.
The Atari Paddle TV Games controller looks, feels, and plays just like the original Atari paddle. Games featured in the device include: Breakout, Canyon Bomber, Casino, Circus Atari, Demons to Diamonds, Night Driver, Steeplechase, Street Racer, Super Breakout, Warlords, Warlords Arcade, Video Olympics, Arcade Pong and Pong. There will be two types of Atari Paddle TV Games units released this summer: single player and two player |

Anyone else looking forward to a bit of nice & easy old-school gaming? ;)
Only problem with it that I can see so far, is the fact it's only 2 player. A 4-player option would've been pretty cool, especially with games like
Warlords.
Anyone know if it'll be something widely available, and if we'll be able to get them down here? Or if it's just going to be something you order off the net?

 That's pretty cool for a little retro gameplay.
Reminds me of that console danoz direct was selling that literatelly ripped off the N64 console design and let you play Atari games on it, but for a bargain price of $130!

It's good advice. And this is a retro forum.
You obviously have some issues with me Shadow Link. Perhaps send me a PM or start a topic in feedback. Leave the personal comments out of the retro threads thanks.

Give him a break Shadow Link, at least he's trying.
Anyway - on topic.
I have the original paddle controllers for my Atari 2600. They're brilliant! Super Breakout is definitely one of my favourite games it supports.

Way cool, I've still got my Atari and paddles etc but the games keep stuffing up.
You have to turn the console on and off and wiggle the cartridge around for about 10 min before it will work.
Super Breakout rocks and Indy 500 is the best racing game of all time.

Erm, I was joking. I was hoping the emoticon set the mood, but obviously it was ignored. I'd've expected a retaliation like that from an emoticon-less post.
Sheesh...

Mate. You don't know what retaliation is. And an emoticon doesn't negate the intent of what was written.
Nothing worse than going to the trouble of posting something just to have someone piss all over your efforts. It may have been said in jest. But I took it on the chin ....and Im glad your not a mod :D
*Please note the emoticon for mood :P
*ShadowLink - Im not enraged at all. Fairly calm actually. I just love it how you claim victim status in just about every situation. Priceless quality that one
Elton John was right. Sorry is the 'hardest word'. Well Im sorry for taking the bait of your initial post when I shoudlve been big enough to let it slide. Too much coffee perhaps.
Apology to the thread's author for the off topic mess.

Especially when one continually states that they are "over it."

Erm... Yeah. I think the battle's within you, mate...
It's quite obvious that the use of the emoticon was satirical. In my case, it was a joking tone. Take it as you will. It's no use communicating with someone's who's enraged...

C'mon fella's, I don't want to be deleting posts or locking up threads. If you wish to pursue this matter up any further with each other then do so via the PM feature -- but seriously, let bygones be bygones and let's get back on topic here.
