Title: GameBoy advance

g1ggy - July 22, 2006 01:24 AM (GMT)
Does anyone (other than me) still play the good ol' GBA? Honestly, I didn't think it'd go out of style so quickly, it seemed so amazing when it first came around. GBA fans, please console me!

Electronic Junky - July 22, 2006 01:36 AM (GMT)
I cannot lie,I have went back time and time again.

...But...Yo got to love the new technology.

The good old GBA is still real fun for me. I still play Pokemon and Mario And Luigi Superstar Saga, although my save files keep dissapearing <_<

Yes, I'm old-school like that. I even play my Gameboy Color. Having the best of everything is overrated when you can get an older item that works (it may not have a touchable screen, but who needs it?), right? I've had my GBA since they came out and it's still in the same condition as when I first played it. And it's been through a lot.

And I think the original Gameboy Advance lasts longer than SP. The screen can easily snap off..

for some reason that I can't even remember anymore, I traded in Pokemon Sapphire over a year ago, which was pretty silly of me, but I still play GBA games in my DS sometimes - mostly I've got Wario Ware stuck in there because it's good for a minigame bout and especially for when you're with a friend but you only have one console between two - it has about four two player games where each person uses a shoulder button :D

Oh, also, I never broke my SP - it's at my mum's place somewhere, but I don't know how easy it would be to break. One thing that I like about my brick DS is it's sturdiness - one time I took it to someone's house and they had a little kid (like one year old) and I was playing something on the DS and he came up to me and hit it out of my hands and it smacked hard against the wood floor but the console didn't even flinch. Nintendo seem to be pretty good at making their stuff hellas sturdy!

Well, I sometimes play with my GBA, but my mom took possession of it, so it's hers now. My sis gave me her SP, but the L and R buttons were broken. So now I have to ask my brother or sister if I can play using their DS.

Who in there right mind would play one of these acient things. Never again will I remove the dust from my gba.

Ninja Catfish - April 8, 2007 12:33 PM (GMT)
I would, I'm thinking of picking up Wario Ware Twisted, and it'll just be more enjoyable or authentic to play on my SP than my DS Lite.

Who still plays GBA games on the GBA, even though they have a DS? I have a DS Lite, but I still play my GBA games on a GBASP2 instead of the DS-Lite, even though it is compatable with GBA carts.

The reason is, for some reason I find the unused screen on the DS annoying when I play a GBA game, and for some reason the screen seems smaller on the DS then the GBA, even if it isn't.

The GBA cart sticking out on the DS Lite is not an issue though, as I am used to it with Game Boy, and Game Boy Color carts sticking out on the GBASP2.

Any one else still hanging on to there GBA to play either GBA carts, or older Game Boy carts, even though they have a DS?

Quatters - April 13, 2007 03:01 AM (GMT)
I still play my GBA games. On my DS though I still have my GBA for 4 Sword Adventures.

Stevorooni - April 13, 2007 03:12 AM (GMT)
I have an original GBA with no backlighting, so I play all my GBA games on my DS Lite.

I only found the unused screen thing a problem when I had the GBA screen running on the bottom screen, but when I run it from the top it's not an issue
