You know how in magazines they sometimes have a "day in the life of..." and then they basically have a description of what someone did all day? Well this thread is just like that.

A day in the Life of Texta:

6:30 amAlarm goes off. Texta ignores it and tries to sleep.
7:00amThe blanket's are cruely thrown off and Texta's fiance demands he have a shower.
7:15 amTexta emerges from bathroom and gets ready for the day.
7:30 amCar taking texta to uni leaves
8:30 amTexta gets dropped off in Hobart City centre and catches a bus to uni
8:45 amTexta arrives at uni and purchases the Australian and The Mercury (Hobart local paper) and gives both a quick perusal.
9:00 amIt's Differential Equations, Linear Algebra and Applications. The topic of discussion is Linear, first order, ordinary differential equations. It's straight forward and easy.
9:50 amTexta heads to the library to catch up on other work. He designs a logo to go on invites for a cocktail party and answers questions regarding the party from the other party it's being conducted with.
He also skims through the new Code of Conduct that's been delevoped for a conference he's running
11:00 amAlgebra and Applications. It's year 12 maths with everyone's favourite lecturer, Peter Trotter. The lesson is spend going over the use of operators like "AND" and "OR", next lesson, we're tantilisingly told, we might go over some of their applications.
12:00 pmTexta chairs a meeting regarding a conference he's running. Attendence is poor, so they almost get through everything on the agenda. It's fairly productive, but Texta is worried that he didn't keep minutes and the guy who's job it is to do so is unreliable.
1:00 pmContract Law. Texta learns about Illegality and how statutues can prohibit certain contracts. Lecture turns out to be more interesting then he suspected. He also finds out that his arch nemesis only got 49.5% in the exam while texta managed 60.5% (also unlike the other guy, texta isn't repeating). Texta remains smug.
2:00 pmIt's time for lunch/breakfast. Texta hangs out in the Ref enjoying a steak and mushroom pie while he gives the Australian a good read. He's glad he isn't in Lebanon right now.
2:54 pmCatches a bus into Hobart CBD and heads over to the med school library.
3:10 pm Checks and responds to emails. Logs onto Evolution and spends 20 minutes writing a dodgy thread.
3:33 pmDecides he can't be bothered spell chicking his pots.
the rest of the dayProcrastination. Do some torts reading. No one cooks dinner so I eat shapes and watch Anacondas on pay tv. Also buy this weeks New Scientist and somehow get home. <_<
10:00pmHave an early night and go to bed.

3am Fall asleep.
12pm Wake Up. Proceed to watch television.
1pm Get out of bed, head to computer. Play Batt;efield 2.
2.30pm Make myself porridge for breakfast.
2.50pm Shower and prepare for Uni.
3.30pm Begin the lonely and boring drive to Uni.
4.20pm Arrive at Uni, ponder as to where abouts my lecture is.
4.31pm Finally discover class, take my seat.
5.30pm Lecture concludes, long lonely drive home begins.
6.20pm Arrive home, look in cupboards - nothing worth snacking on.
6.27pm Write this line, press the 'Add Reply' button.

01:00pm Briefly check Angus and Robinson for "My Israel Question" - later I learn it comes out on August 1 - book written by journalist Antony Lowenstein who is jewish and very critical of Israel - had seen him interviewed on Lateline yesterday and was impressed. Also want to support him because the right wing Zionists are trying to get the book banned.
01:18pm Play footbag with James and Brian. I play well with long runs. Also watch the chess game going on next to us which is exciting - one guy is clearly better than the other.
02:00pm Play two games of Chess with Brian. He wins the first because I fail to concentrate at all - second game is much better and I totally destroy him from the outset.
03:00pm Go to subway so Brian can buy a cookie. He can't afford it so I give him $2. See Tony busking in the mall and say g'day. Also see Amy and her friend and say hello. Also more significantly I see Bondy who is a guy I went to primary school with and is now a cop. I have a good chat to him re some stuff that has been going on in my life and he is very informative. Also he is super buff. He used to be like this fat kid but now he's more ripped than Michael Gardniers contract with West Coast.
03:20pm Hit a new footbag move (ripstein) while chatting with Brian while he eats his cookies.
03:30pm Check my email and forums. Pwn some n00bs re: Israel and Lebannon. Also give people an update regarding where footbag worlds will be in 2007 - shut down the rumour mill and inject some fact in to the speculation.
04:30 Go to Sushi place to get some "lunch" - it's just run out of sushi and am forced to go to Banjos instead and get some shitty role. See Jess in there but she's talking to her mum.
05:00pm Go to work (wilderness society) where I get bored and check evo and write this thing out - don't get a great deal done but enough to keep my job :). - am still at work now at 08:26 pm.

This is mine for yesterday:

6am - Alarm goes off. Stevo stops it.
6:30am - Alarm goes off again. Stevo Stops it.
6:40am - Alarm goes off again. Stevo finally gets up
6:45am - Stevo makes coffee and watches Sunrise while he drinks it
7:20am - Stevo realises the time and jumps into shower, jumps out of shower and into clothes
7:40 am - Stevo chucks laptop into bag and jumps into the car
8:10 am - Stevo arrives at work, turns heater on. Plays Brain Training on DS
8:30 am - Stevo starts work
12:30am - Stevo gets lunch, buys 2 crossiants and some ham from supermarket. Eats lunch. Chats with tossbag he has to work with.
1pm - Stevo continues work
6pm - Stevo jumps in the car and drives home
6:20pm - Stevo arrives home
6:30pm - Stevo goes to supermarket and purchases food
6:45pm - Stevo cooks some of purchased food and eats it
7:30pm - Stevo collapses onto couch and watches tv until midnight
Midnight: Stevo goes to bed.



I've just realised how truly boring my life is :(

This is what i did on yesterday,my day off work.

(In between times i also visited Evo Site)

11:45 - Woke up and Turned on my Gamecube,To play some Zelda.
11:46 - Walked into kitchen,Grabbed a cold soda,and my cigarettes,And quickly returned to Zelda.
12:30 - Still playing Zelda.
1:00 - Zelda continues to be played.
2:00 - More Zelda action happening.
3:00 - Yet more Zelda action going on.
3:35 - Finished my Zelda playing for the day.
3:40 - Called 3 friends to come over and play some Double Dash.
3:57 - Friends Arrive.
4:00 - Double Dash Gaming Begins.
4:30 - Still double Dashin'.
5:00 - We discontinued the Double Dash playing.
5:10 - Friends left.
5:15 - Hopped in the car and headed to Wal-Mart.
5:33 - Arrived at Wal-Mart.
5:34 - Quickly get's out of car and runs to the Games section of Wal-Mart.
5:36 - Run's to the DS they have,And begins playing NSMB.
6:00 - Realizes i've been playing NSMB in Wal-Mart for nearly 30 mins.
6:15 - Ponders on what game to buy after walking up and down the aisle countless times.
6:20 - Picks out two games,and gets the store person.
6:40 - Store bitch finally finds time in her busy fucking day to come and please a customer. (not in that way pervs) <_<
7:00 - Finally purchases NSMB and SSBM.
7:05 - Runs back to car and hops in.
7:25 - Stops at Don's Foodmart for Gas,a case of soda,and a pack of smokes.
7:35 - HOME!! YAY!!
7:45 - Put's in SSBM and begins playing.
8:45 - you guessed it,Still playing.
10:45 - :dance3: Still at it!!
11:00 - Decides to quit SSBM for the time being and begin NSMB.
12:00 - yeah i do to much fucking gaming,but hell it's my day off.
12:25 - Quit playing NSMB,and decides to watch a little TV.
2:00 - Logs onto Insider Forums,Evolution Forums,Amped Forums,Etc.
2:30 - Began writing this. :argh:
2:45 - Realizes this is the end of this post.

I just realized how good of a memory i have,And those times are dodgy..I just guessed around the time this happened,but that's fairly close.But yeah..this is usually how my days off of work are,Alot of gaming...i know..Sad..but fuck you!

*Turns on DS* Mwahahahahahahahaaaa...*cough* ahaha.....

The events of yesterday then (Friday).

12:30pm - Woke up
12:45pm - Finally get out of bed. Yes it takes me a while to wake up properly.
12:50pm - Jump in the shower.
1pm - Out of shower, dress, so on and so forth.
1:05pm - Cook some lunch and make a coffee
1:15pm - Finish eating/drinking, make another coffee and jump online for a few things.
1:45pm - Fire up the PS2 and play some Space Channel 5: Part Two.

2:30pm - Stop playing the PS2 and start getting ready for work.
3pm - Start work.
6:30pm - Home from work, begin watching Neighbours. (yes it was a short shift)
7pm - Neighbours ends, fire up the DS to meet someone in Animal Crossing.
8pm - Finally meet up with the friend after an hour wasted on trying to contact him to see what's going on.
9:35pm - Randomly disconnected (I think it was his end as my 'bar' was full) from the session with friend, turn DS off and eat dinner.
10pm - Make a quick drink and jump onto some Forza.
10:30pm onwards - After 4 quick races in Forza, accept an invite to play Halo 2 on Live. See a few glitches, kill a few people, the usual.
12:30am onwards - Off Halo, grab some food and a drink and then onto the computer.
2:24am - Hit 'Add Reply' button and make this post.

Events of today (Tuesday) thus far.

6.45am Wake up
6.46am Get out of bed
6.46am Travel downstairs still half asleep, to eat breakfast. Start to make breakfast.
7.00am Eating breakfast, mum is up as well, can hear my brother just getting up.
7.10am Head back upstairs, brush teeth, wash face etc.
7.20am Back downstairs again, watching the Today show (*shivers*).
7.30am Leave house, with brother in car, driving to train station.
7.45am Arrive at train station, waiting for train with brother, rather than dump him in the cold.
7.51am Train arrives, drop off brother, commence the drive to uni.
8.10am Get on freeway, a lot of traffic, start swearing.
8.50am Arrive at uni, have a lecture starting at 9am, but decide to head to computer labs to enrol in Tutorial classes, as I dont want to get f*cked times.
9.00am Already half the computers taken, enrolment system officially opens at 10am.
9.30am Check enrolment system from time to time, finance unit (only have one favourable time to enrol) all classes taken!! Assume that its because system not officially open yet.
9.32am Decide to check other units, enrolment is possible, favourable time only has 8 spots left, quickly select times in remaining 2 units (law enrolments doesnt open till Thursday, so one less to worry about).
10.02am Now officially open, try finance unit again, still ALL taken! Notice it says places available = -1. Thinks WTF? :huh: Ask a guy sitting next to me what the hell, I'm told it means the system is not open for that unit. Realise this must be the case because I just skipped the lecture of this very unit. Decide to leave computers and embarrassingly head into lecture an hour late to find out whats up.
10.10am Walking to lecture, see friends that are finance majors, assume they are in the unit, they are. Find out that the system will not open for this particular unit till 9am tomorrow, also realise that there are less times available than previously thought, now have a dilemma. 7 hours straight on Tuesday, or come in earlier on Weds but have a 3 hour break... Hmmm.
10.20am Large line in the business office because people having trouble with enrolment system, decide to wait in line with friends even though I have had no problems, everyone seems to hate me right now :P
11.00am Next lecture starts, go to lecture, Banking and Finance Law. First LAW unit, previously have studied legal studies units (they are cheaper than law units) so I have some background in business law. Lecture is ok, keep getting phone calls during the lecture because friends are having trouble with tutorial system, have phone on silent fortantly.
1.00pm Next lecture, Managerial Economics, seems pretty straightforward, being an economics major (one of my majors) its all pretty familiar stuff here.
1.55pm Lecture finishes, heading to car to go home, ring up brother let him know to jump on the 2.00pm train so I can pick him up.
2.30pm Arrive at train station, just as I cross the train tracks I hear the ringing of the boom gates, realise my brother should have just arrived. As I turn into the street I see the train is dropping off passengers, and as I park in the drop off zone I see my brother walking off the steps of the train platform, perfect timing!! :D
2.32pm Drive home.
2.55pm Arrive home, discuss the tutorial enrolment situation, i.e. finance unit I have to enrol in tomorrow try and get a class to match my brothers schedule, pretty difficult, have to wait for each other a bit, no big deal.
3.15pm Relax, eat, drink.
3.40pm Jump on computer, check the tutorial online system, see that I have enrolled in my units, finance unit still not possible, everything is fine.
3.47pm Jump on Evo forums. Type this post.
3.54pm Click Add Reply.

7am: wakes up without alarm
7:30am: rides bike to school, damages tyre on sharp stick
8am: goes onto Evo, reads stuff, gets bored
9am: school...pretends to learn
3pm: school finished, celebrates
3:05 pm: rides damage bike home at much slower speed
4pm: eats food, then eats more food
5pm: hops on PC, plays Age of Mythology
6pm: eats more food, watches simpsons
7pm: eats dinner
8pm: accompanies family to UQ, to collect mother
9pm; early night

Yesterday was a dull day..maybe today will be better...

11.15am - Stage Band rehersal.
11.50am - Return to classes.
1.05pm - Lunch
3.00pm - Play some handball before orchestra.
3.15pm - Set up percussion and begin orchestra rehersal.
4.45pm - Have a break. Go play cricketout side with bins and planks of wood. Great fun.
5.00pm - Head back inside. Contune rehersal.
5.30pm - Head on home.
5.50pm - Get home. Have a shower.
6.00pm - Bum around.
6.30pm - Watch Dream Theater DVD.
7.30pm - Have dinner.
7.45pm-now - Sit on computer and chill.
