Surprised there was never a topic on this?
One of my favorite books, one of my favorite movies.
I loved how the book, was almost a direct screenplay for the movie, since I had seen part of the movie before I had read the book, I invisioned the characters in the book like the movie, so then when I watched the full movie, It didn't ruin my own rendition of the book.
I think it's very good writing.
I love all of Chuck Palahniuk's work.

I wasn't a big fan of the novel, but the film was a pretty good adaptation, certainly my preferred choice of the two 'texts.'

i thought the film was trippy as, but i really enjoyed it.
seeing how that guy was pretending brad pitt's character (im bad with names as you can tell) later in the movie was great. and the project mayhem bit was great, the house barracks.

Yeah Chuck Palahnuik is awesome. Choke is my favourite book by him for sure.
Bret Easton Ellis is another Author in the same kind of nihilistic dark vein who you should check out - he wrote American Psycho and Less than Zero (both are also movies) and I really like all his work.

I finally saw the movie and was so impressed... While watching it I was reminded of Secret Window with how he had imagined alot of the stuff...

I loved the movie. Never read the book though, I really should as books are always better than the movie counterparts.

Some great scenes in this movie I loved it. It was a pretty dark movie. Those support groups at the start we're pretty awesome, and who can forget Bob?

Absolutely loved the movie, and the book was the only one of Chuck's books I managed to get some slight satisfaction from.
I guess I don't "get" Palaniuk, I find it all too morbid, his style of writing frustrates me.

I enjoyed the book a lot, but when I got to the twist it took me about half an hour to understand it (it was quite late at night). Total mind-fuck.
I'd like to see the movie, but as far as I know it's rated R and I'm not 18 yet.

I enjoyed reading the novel quite alot. One of the few books i like alongside Godfather...

Well the film was great apart from Brad Pitt, I just can't take him seriously in anything he does. He's just such a pretty boy wanker in the media.
FreakTrigger - July 25, 2007 11:06 PM (GMT)
I very much prefer the books ending, though I'm a big fan of both...
Qubert, I actually really like Brad Pitt in it - the whole pretty boy element actually works really well for Tyler Durden to me, in that it exists alongside busted teeth and black eyes :)

Really? I read it a while ago, but I felt that it just didn't go anywhere. I mean, it was funny, and it was a good read, but it could have been better.
